They missed Phil Jaglieka. . . .

Even Jaglieka wouldn't have saved them.
Moyes looked so lost.
Like a lost puppy.

Bottom line:
Pyrrhic victory for Arsenal.

A fluke.
Let them repeat this against the big 3.

It's either arsenal was extremely superb or Everton was incredibly pathetic - either of d two.

The Everton board must be fuming.
They can't ask for £22m any more from Citeh. .
They should have sold when they could. .

The result flatters Arsenal. . . Not taking anything away from them. . but I don't think the gap between the 4th and 5th is that big. . .

Some people have been saying that Arsenal normally start well at the begining of the season but i beg to disagree a bit. Last season was a nightmare from the begining. We struggled to beat Westbrom 1-0 at emirates. Then we lost to Fulham away. Aft 2 wins we lost to hull.

Who says Arsenal start well?
2007/2008 we lost the first game to Fulham 2-1.

What are you guys talking about?
In as much as this is too early to start having high hopes like Fabrapass said, I am still very happy with the start. I hope it continues this way.
Gunners for life!

No matter how things seem bad for Arsenal, you will always see a sterling performance. I don't fear teams like Everton and the likes, my biggest concern is the the other three- Man U, Liverpool and Chelsea. Arsenal true form will be tested by any of these three. Anyway, the gunners deserve some kudos and they should maintain this form to the end.
Re: Everton (1) Vs Arsenal (6) On Saturday 15th August by drn0(m): 4:31am On Aug 16, 2009
NOOOOOOOO not a fluke but I sincerely xpect dem to burn out b4 d end of d season plus U shld xpect a score line like dat wen a team like Arsenal is highly underrated.
Re: Everton (1) Vs Arsenal (6) On Saturday 15th August by davidif: 5:27am On Aug 16, 2009
But lets face it folks? why predict doom and gloom for Assanal? Why you guys think they won't be scoring 2,3 or 4 goals every match?
Agreed they did not display their signature sexki football but a winning team SHOULD NEVER be criticized especially if it's a clean win as tonight.

WHAT?!?!?!?!? IF THAT WAS NOT SEXY FOOTBALL THEN WHAT IS?

By the way, the season is not won in August but in May. Let's see how they fare when the temperature drops and the pitch is covered in snow and rain and they are playing in the mashes of Northwest England where they can't play there signature "sexi" football or worst of all when they play a very physical team (Arsenal has been mediocre against teams like this in the past) who play with ten men behind the ball.

Arsenal has not shown that they can overcome adversity especially injuries which are always inevitable. Just look at what happened in the Birmingham game when Eduardo's leg got broken. In order to win the league you need to overcome adversity because not all things are going to go your way, so you just have to pitch in and slug it out especially when you are playing Wigan or Hull in December where there pitch is muddy. You can't always win pretty, there are some days where you just take whatever the opposing team gives you and you take your 1-0 win and go home instead of blaming the refree or blaming the pitch and the opposing team for being too defensive and physical. You also need depth on the bench so that if one player is out of form or injured someone can step in and the team won't skip a bit.

This is why Man. U has been winners for years they have a manager who doesn't cuddle them (or use there youth and inexperience as an excuse not to win) and one who would just not let them lose. Look what happened at the beginning of there season when there best player CR7 was out injured they still held the fort till he was able to come back. Another example was the Tottenham game last year when they were down 2-0 after the first half. They came back and scored 6 unanswered goals. I can't begin to remember how many 1-0 games Man. U won last year. That is what you call resolve, even though Man. U are always slow starters, but when they hit there gear there is no stopping them, yeah they might loose to chelsea or liverpool here and there but they still lead the league 7 points ahead of there closest contenders. That's why i loved Mourinho, he would gladly take home his 1-0 win and win a title rather than throw everybody into attack just to score 7 goals and then risk a counter-attack from the opposing team.

Morale of the story, you cannot always play beautiful. So you take your chances and go away with your 1-0 rather than risk losing or complain that your opponent's goal was offside or that you lost because your players were injured.

If Arsenal can do all this, then we know if they can truly be champions, until then, let's just watch and enjoy there "sexi" football.

See all these Arsenal haters - some are saying it is to early , some say it is a fluke, some say the young ones will soon get tired.

I say GUnners for the title - The battle starts now / for your information relegation battle has already started.
