TENSION IN AFFA UDI LOCAL GOVERNMENT IN ENUGU STATE!!! IF YOU ARE FROM THERE CALL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND FIND OUT THERE CONDITIONS AND WHEREABOUTS. EVERY FAMILY IN OGOR A VILLAGE IN AFFA HAVE RELOCATED TO AMOFIA AND OTHER NEIGHBOURING VILLAGES. SOME AMOFIA PEOPLE ARE HOLED UP SOMEWHERE IN BUSHES AND UGWU OFHURU. POLICE ARRIVED AT IKEDIMKPA AT EXACTLY 1120PM WITH SOUND OF SIREN BLARING. UNCONFIRMED REPORTS CLAIMED UNKNOWN PEOPLE KILLED A COW AFTER IT DESTROYED THEIR CROP WITHIN OGOR TERRITORY AND A LETTER WAS WRITTEN TO THE COMMUNITY FOR REPRISAL ATTACK. YESTERDAY AFTERNOON ONE GUY SAW AN AVERAGE AGED FULANI MAN AT IKEDIMKPA. THE FULANI MAN WAS CARRYING OUT INVESTIGATION THE GUY GOT ANGRY AND HE PULLED OUT THE FULANI GUYS SWORD AND BEAT HIM MERCILESSLY WITH THE BLUNT SIDES. THAT CONTRITBUTED IN HEIGTHENING THE TENSION. |

If true then the community should quickly get in touch with the Fulani elders and discuss how they can settle them or else they should learn how to sleep with one eye opened from now onwards; because the Fulani do not forgive or forget, taking revenge is part of their culture and they have all the patience to wait until they can extract their pound of flesh (sometimes lasting many years); moreover they have an extended brotherhood spanning the whole of West Africa and beyond, when the time is ripe all they need to do is to send kola of invitation to their distant cousins for re-enforcement - its as simple as that. Imagine: you kill their cow and then beat up one of their elders; lallai trouble dey sleep yanga wake am, these villages didn't know what they have started. Yes, the police can patrol and protect them for a while but for how long before they get bored; meanwhile these guys can stay low and wait for as long as it takes - na only God go help these ppl wey start this one. |
