Hello Nairaland Forum.

I wanted to share my experience for a while now but has been putting it off.

.

This whole process would have been expensive and also worrying. Glad it all ended well .

Thanks for sharing and all the best

Hello Peeps,

Please i want to find out if it is possible to book an emergency visa appointment with the US consulate here in Nigeria for student visa. I just got my i-20 form last Friday and my school expects me to report for orientation on August 9, 2016. The appointment dates available now are end of August or September which will be too late for me.

Please whoever knows how to book the emergency appointment should please put me through.

Thanks y'all.

As at my posting now Lagos and Abuja first available date are July 14th respectively

Just go and pay your visa fee and you will see more dates that are available

Emergency booking is no longer available for F1 visa. It can only be done for those going for medical.

Can you help us with latest update or link on this

grin. Lol . People never learn.

I chatted with someone 2 weeks ago who said the agent gave him august and a date so close to his start date as next available date. I was like why are u using an agent. Why cant u check yourself... only for another person to book same time and told me she got a date for this week in july .

You guys wise up. You can do it yourself

Take for example, you are asked how many schools did you apply to and you say one. My dear, thats a turn off. Therefore try and apply to more than one school if possible like 4.
Another example is, when you are asked "who is sponsoring you" and you say "i am sponsoring myself". It wont work. OR you are asked "why did you apply to this school", and you said "it is because a friend told me about it".
Those are examples of what i meant. I may be wrong though, but i heard 2 people say things like the first two above and i knew that they would be denied and they were.

That first question.... How many schools did you apply too? My answer Na one oooo. I only apply to one school and I was accepted. My interview is next week, what is going to be my answer and how can I answer the question now? Please help

If Royal Air Maroc falls within your budget, fly with them. The main thing is getting to the final destination safely. There are other airlines where you will get more luxurious in-flight experience, it cost more, if you have the money go for it. My sis and cousins flew with royal air maroc and they didn't complain at all. Air France is 400k+
