My question to you would be, how close are you to the end of your studies..you want to be careful it's not too close.
it expires next summer and i have plans to travel down to nigeria around the same period, and i am not sure if this statement "Students should consult their Designated School Official (DSO) prior to travelling. Your DSO generally works in the International Student Office. You must have a current SEVIS Form I-20 endorsed for travel and your DSO needs to be able to verify that your SEVIS record is accurate and up-to-date" would be able to bring me back into the country if i finish my coursework around the same period if i either get a OPT or decides to pursue a PHD.....just curious though grin

Travelling very close to graduation, or on OPT especially if your OPT card is not with you yet is usually not recommended.
If you are graduating 2017 summer/fall and you plan to go to Nigeria the summer, I'd advice you go to a neighboring country say Canada before the end of the year and get your renewal done there at a US consulate/embassy.
The DSO thing is just a signature on your I-20 that you must get before leaving the country, and which you show alongside your I-20 at POE when coming back.

Looks like I have finally meet som1 of my kind, I that I was d only one Dts going for a nursing program after b.sc , I was beginning to think it will be hard to gain admission, please message me via venecasty1@gmail.com or send yours I have questions to ask, I want to for spring2017 but am still having some difficulties understanding d whole admi process.tnx

4 years BS nursing program requires the same admission process like the others. Pick a program > send all your transcripts and tests > wait for decision. The problem is when applying to accelerated nursing program, which requires that you have some prereqs already taking in not long ago. This is easy to understand.

Yes u cant wait till u arrive because it might not be available or more expensive. ..... you can check booking.com or other sites and look for that exact hotel and then make a booking now. .. it will reserve it for you . Some sites have free cancellation. Check that also incase u need to cancel it .... u would need to put a card details but sometimes it just to hold d booking and incase u dont show they take it from d card. But if u show then u pay at the hotel desk .

I came to Nigeria for holz and I renewed mine before coming back. It was quite easy, but please ensure you have your current transcript and signed I- 20. In my case, the visa expires mid June 2016 while my program runs tthrough 2018.
Again, you can renew across Canada or Mexico.you don't really have to pay high fare down here just to renew.

GOODNEWS: CBN resumes dollar sales to BDCs today – The Nation
AUGUST 5, 2016 BY ABOKIFX
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will today resume dollar sales to Bureaux De Change (BDCs) seven months after it stopped the practice.

It stopped the sales last January because of what it called dollar scarcity and abuse of operating guidelines.

Speaking to The Nation yesterday, Aminu Gwadabe, Association of Bureau De Change Operators of Nigeria (ABCON) President, said nearly 3,000 BDCs are expected to access dollar from the CBN today.

He said the BDCs had on Wednesday, funded their accounts with the CBN in readiness for the transaction, adding that dollar disbursement will start today and continue next week.

“Our members funded their accounts with the CBN on Wednesday and will get the dollar equivalent today. The funds will be sold at the prevailing inter-bank rate,” he said.

Gwadabe said the funds would come at one per cent commission, which has been agreed with the regulator.

The CBN directed the BDCs to render returns and comply with anti-money laundering regulations.

Gwadabe promised that the BDCs would abide by the directives and continually provide detailed reports on how previous dollars sourced from the CBN were utilised.

Indeed this should be good news to all of us.

Lets hope that good things will come out from this new policy

Scores can be sent to 4 schools for free if u include it at the time of Gre registration. That does not mean u have to apply to 4 schools. ....understand the difference now ??.

However its good practice to apply to more than one school incase SNHU does not give u admission so u not putting all ur eggs in one basket. Also in interview time u appear more credible if u have applied to more than one schools as well
