The former Nigeria Telecommunication NITEL office , near the NIPOST office, Ama J.K Owerri, the Imo State Capital has now turned to brothel and hide out for criminals.
Investigation revealed that teenage girls even those below 12years and older ladies use the place to carry out illicit sexual activities in the metropolis


These group of girls who are mainly hawkers in the streets of the state capital can be wooed with paltry sums of money like N200 or N300, it was gathered
This has made the place a beehive of sexual activities as street urchins, touts and men with uncontrollable libido see it as place to procure cheap sexual intercourse

Investigations further revealed that the illicit immoral activities are at its peak at the early hours of the morning and evening of each day

Some prostitutes operating in the place, apart from the teenage hawkers are those who were dislodged by the demolition of shanties at the old Garden Park along Okigwe park and Timaya Hotel along Onitsha Road in the state capital.

The Teenage hawkers who come mostly from outside the metropolis, it was learnt sell their bodies to make up money to add to their wares.

It can be recalled that the premises was formerly used by the Nigeria Telecommunication. NITEL, and has long been abandoned even as the buildings are now dilapidated and overgrown with bushes.
