Osun pple are really suffering.. Workers are not getting paid. Some are being owed up to 7-8months. Ppl can no longer pay bills and here you are showing us beautiful pictures of white elephant's projects..
No public hospital is functioning in osun, good classrooms/ schools ( gd achievement) but teachers that will teach there is not happy cos he's being owed salaries.
Ppl cannot afford to take care of their health. Pensioniers are dropping dead daily because of hunger. What sort of insensitive government do we have in osun..? Why can't the government do the needful??
Why should govt be doing projects at the expence of ppl salaries. Why does govt and ppl in power love deceiving ppl?

Galatians 6:7-8

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Whatever the pains govt have caused the voiceless he will reap in thousands folds

Osun is working... Osun has being collecting little or no allocations least in Nigeria April was 131million where the wage bill alone is not less than 3.5 billion.
How did we get here Stop deceiving us.

dFroshie:
Let's clarify things here please,Aregbe is indeed a good governor who has vision for the state of Osun but due to ignorance and stonehearted he was glory was put down the drain.Aregbesola start out to have things in place for this state from road construction projects,to school construction and other infrastructure project which he did in the state.I dispute the point that he didn't work because he actually did but was not carefully enough to see the future and what the 2ndterm tenure had in store for the people.

BABA kabiru first flop was when the lies game started, the civil servants of the state love this great leader they think he has come to save them from the agony and stretch marks the past government caused them but he was turned against when their monthly dues was not given to them in the appropriate time...Aregbe first lie was that he didn't borrow any money from any bank while doing projects which were mainly assisted by the federal government e.g the schools he constructed were assisted projects by SUBEB and UBE,he told the citizens of this state during his re-election campaigns that all project were financed by purse of the state government that he didn't borrow to do any project.
Another lie I could pin down was that of the opon imo which was produced by his son,Kabiru Aregbesola,BABA Kabiru said his son didn't collect a dime on the project that it was the foreign collaborators he worked with that got paid,is that possible cause last time I checked their was no free launch in Paris.Kabiru been the mastermind of the project was revealed by one of their party state man Hammed Bola Tinubu, who made the announcement during the launching of the project.

Aregbe government begins to crumble from the starts of 2014 when he was unable to pay the workers salaries though the 2014 salary was rush and workers received alerts of their payment when it is close to the 2nd term 're election, the workers got paid and the day to day activities also continue though the workers didn't come out en mass to vote for him again but the local indigenes cast their vote for him and he was re-elected.
Aregbe wasted the allocations on some things that were not relevant and important that's why he is in the mess he is,osun don't need a surveillance helicopter,I still can't fathom why he got one for the state, the airport at Ido Osun is also on called for when we have airport at ibadan an hour thirty mins drive to the state,if he had done the project in an orderly manner to he would have accomplishments but instead he rushed all projects, merging of schools just carved in problems for the state cause when you join to rival cults in a place the rest is history.

Aregbesola I repeat he is a good leader if he was transparent enough with the people he govern and didn't meddle into some affairs that he was not called to (Ekiti). A citizen of Osun State who resides in Osogbo,I pray and hope my states gonna be great and things gonna ease for the workers and natives of my state and Nigeria at large.

God bless Osun State
God bless Nigeria

@donfroshie

1. You claimed Aregbesola Lied on loans to finance the projects? Have you been living in Mars? You never heard about the Sukuk bond? Lying is not one of the things you can accuse Aregbesola of doing. He has been forthright with the people of his state since he began his tenure.

By the way, how did you expect him to finance ALL the projects without borrowing? Or you preferred him to have used the average of about N3bn monthly allocations to pay salaries throughout his tenure for eight years? That way, I know the 50,000 workers will be happy while the over 4million citizens will be left to suffer and be without infrastruture.

2. On Opon-imo projects, do you have any evidence Kabir collected funds from the state government and pocketed same? You just don't come to a public fora to accuse an innocent young man trying to help his dad and the state he governs.

3. Contrary to your position, Aregbesola did NOT waste allocations on irrelevant and unimportant projects. You see, information is key, see the truth and it will set you free. Comparing the Ido Osun Airport to the Ibadan airport shows you lack basic information of about the true situation of things.

The Airport in Osun is not a passenger airport. It is an Aircraft maintenance hub and a cargo airport. ALL aircrafts in Nigeria you usually fly out to South Africa, Ethopia, Egypt or other countries outside Africa for their routine maintenance. The Ido Osun airport will be the first maintenance hub in West Africa. Imagine what that will do to the entire economy of Osun if all Aircraft in Nigeria and West Africa comes down to Osun to service their aircraft.

DHL has their sorting centre for Nigeria in Yaounde, Cameroon, meanwhile, Nigeria is their largest market, but they had to move to a neighbouring country because there is no space for them in Nigeria. Osun will bring that back into Nigeria, the Nigerian Airforce will operate its hover crafts from the airport etc. The airport has the longest runway in Nigeria and the first landing strip in West Africa. The colonial masters used the strip to airlift soldiers during the first world war. The historical value alone is enough to open a musuem....So please, gets your facts right before speaking on things you don't know.

Aregbesola foresaw this trying times, that is why he created the Omoluabi Conservation funds to save for the rainy day.

The road to my house at ile-ife that has been a earth road for decades was tarred by this man. There is no local govt in osun that govt presence is not felt. What this two states earn is far more than osun, and they are not doing any project. But same people are often quick to condemn and malign aregbesola. My greatest joy is that gradually osun is recovering, salaries are being paid, even if it is half payment, it is far better than none in ondo, aregbe keeps working despite the state of the nation, I see a man whose enemies and propagandists will soon gather to celebrate, keep ur good work sir, we see it daily, and we yearn for more, don't get detered the road may be rough, people may call you names now but some day, they will gather to honour you, osun a dara.

Pictures sometimes exaggerates. I have not seen anything commensurate with what is in the pictures when compared to what is on ground. If a governor can embark on these projects, what then will make a reasonable governor to be owing salaries of his workers? To me what is in the pictures are hypes and far from the truth. I have just come back from Osogbo and i wasn't impressed. Let them do the analyses of ongoing projects and completed projects from the inception of this governor then the applauds will be reasonable.

Bros,

One of the major problem is from within. Many of our folks are lacking in exposure and reasoning. They prefer a pot of porridge to sustaining their heritage. Osun state lacked infrastructure to support industry, schools to support educational development, commerce to support viability of state, Agriculture to support prosperity........yet they are contented with the useless status of "Osun is a civil servant state". Aregbesola needs not be praised by all, he only needs to continue to open up the state. The pains of today will be the gains of tomorrow.

For those civil servants, they had better start looking at plan B. Events will pass them by soon.

Check the DEBT profile and you will understand the massive COVER-UP for the ongoing chop & clean mouth CORRUPTION.

Kenai:
Three days ago, Nigeria's budget-monitoring tech organization, BudgIT, released a detailed document on the states of Nigeria; their economic situations, debt burdens, budget-funding capabilities, internally generated revenue ratings and financial sustainability.
This move is part of a greater plan to engender transparency in our budgets, as well as demand better accountability from our various state governors across the federation.

The document had some revealing details, some shocking details, as well as some downright damning ones. I guess reality is truly different from state-sponsored propaganda and social media rhetoric.

Ability Of States To Meet Recurrent Expenditure
In this category, the states are ranked by the figures realized after subtracting the total monthly salaries paid by the states from their monthly income. The states in red are states whose monthly incomes are unable to meet up with the monthly wage bill. In other words, states that are unable to pay their salaries without having to borrow. States in green, on the other hand, are states whose monthly incomes are enough to adequately pay salaries and still have some leftovers for other engagements.
This is the table:

From the table above it can be deduced that Lagos, Rivers, Delta, Katsina and Enugu are the top 5 states with the highest leftover cash even after meeting monthly obligations; while Osun, Plateau, Ogun, Nasarawa and Oyo are the bottom 5 states as well as the states with the greatest inability to meet monthly payments without having to borrow.
Perhaps interesting to note, is the fact that Osun state's monthly shortfall is larger than the monthly shortfalls of Ekiti, Bauchi, Abia, Kaduna, Zamfara, Imo and Gombe, combined.

On a region-by-region basis, it can also be deduced that:

1. In the South-South, all other states are green except Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom.

2. In the South-East, Enugu, Ebonyi and Anambra are able to meet recurrent obligations, but Imo and Abia are unable to.

3. In the South-West, Lagos is the only state currently meeting its recurrent obligations while all other sister states, Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo, Ogun and Osun, are unable to.

4. Taraba and Yobe are the only North-Eastern states without monthly shortfalls

5. Niger, Benue and Kogi are the only North-Central states currently without shortfalls.

6. Zamfara and Kaduna are the only North-West states with shortfalls.

Internally Generated Revenue
This was published a few weeks ago, but republished three days ago...

Ranking Of States By Debt

And finally...

State Sustainability Index

BudgIT published the final info known as "State Sustainability Index". This is the rating of the states by their financial sustainability. It factors in the state's IGR, as well as its total debt stocks, AND recurrent expenditure before arriving at its final figures.
This is the standard formula used in calculating state sustainability index:

Using the formula above with IGR's and debt stocks previously posted, below is the ranking of the states by their sustainability indices:

From the table above, it can be deduced that Rivers State, with its high IGR and relatively low debt, is Nigeria's most sustainable state, with Lagos, Enugu, Delta and Katsina all trailing in that order to make up Nigeria's top 5 most sustainable states.

Counting from the bottom, on the other hand, Plateau, Osun, Nasarawa, Borno and Ekiti are ranked as Nigeria's least sustainable states, with their low IGRs and inexplicably high debts.

On a personal region-by-region ranking (gotten by adding all the indices for every state in each region and dividing by the number of states in said region), the South-South is by far Nigeria's most sustainable region with a cumulative average sustainability index of 8.27

Coming a very distant second is the South-East with an index of 6.43

In third place is the North-West with an index of approximately 5.45

Number 4 is the South-West with 5.43

Coming fifth place with an index of 4.39, is the North-Central

And scraping the bottom of the barrel at last place, is the insurgency-torn North-East with an index of 3.97

Femi Makinde, Osogbo

The Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has said he deserves commendation for building the Moshood Abiola International Airport at Ido-Osun, Osun State, for N11.5bn.

A consultant to the state government on information, Mr. Sunday Akere, who spoke on behalf of the governor, said this in a telephone interview with our correspondent on Tuesday.

He said the contract was not inflated to siphon the state’s resources as alleged by the Peoples Democratic Party.

He said the increase in the contract sum was necessitated by the inflation caused by the fall of the naira.

Akere said, “The PDP in Osun should be ignored, they are just seeking relevance. They should find out how much PDP states like Akwa Ibom, Gombe and others built their airports.

“When former President Goodluck Jonathan was in power, he said he added an additional airstrip to the Nnamdi Azikiwi International Airport, Abuja with N36bn. We should be commended for building an airport with N11.5bn.

“If we are building a complete airport with a hanger and other facilities for N11.5bn, then we should be commended. The governor deserves commendation.”

Akere also said the initial cost of the airport was underestimated.

But the PDP accused the governor of increasing unilaterally the contract sum of the airport from N4.5bn to N15.5bn.

The Director of Media and Strategy of the Osun PDP, Mr. Diran Odeyemi, said this in a statement on Sunday.

The statement read, “We are aware that Governor Rauf Aregbesola, on January 8, 2016 through a letter with reference number SP/S96/1/vi/348 re-awarded the airport contract to the same contractor and a payment of N472m was paid as take-off sum.

“The same company had earlier been paid N2.7bn for the same project without any serious work done on the project.

The PDP also accused the governor of inflating the contract sum in order to embezzle the bailout funds it got from the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The opposition party lamented that workers in the employ of the state were languishing in hunger as a result of unpaid salaries.

The party had said, “We are calling on the President and anti-graft agencies to send a secret team to the site of the so-called Moshood Abiola International Airport, Ido-Osun, to confirm what the government and the airport company had done with the N2.7bn taken from the purse of the state on December 14, 2012.

“Out of the amount, N2.5bn was sourced as a loan from a bank to be repaid monthly at N100m from the SURE-P funds. That loan is now part of the N88bn restructured for the state by the Central Bank for repayment till the year 2034 shocked.”
