I weep for education in 9ja these days. Education ministers over the past few decades need to be lined up & flogged thoroughly.

In class three in secondary school, we already covered the Geysers of Yellowstone, Wyoming, USA. The Saint Lawrence River & logging, its importance in transporting of timber in Quebec/Ontario/USA border area historically, Shipbuilding in Japan, and many other stuff in physical & regional geography. I still remember a great deal of it.

No wonder we did not feel intimidated by any university anywhere in the world. That's how confident we were.

geyser springs up from the earth surface into the air and not what you have there...
that you have there is a pure mystery...not geisha!...

loool That is just a fountain. You can clearly see the upward jet of the water rising up in the middle of the downpour. Theorectically speaking, any rainfall with this level of concentrated rainfall can only happen in a gas planet with extreme high atmospheric pressure to low ground pressure.

Edit: The peak of this geyser can also be glimpsed at several points in the video, and at the 1:17 mark viewers can actually see the brief change in the height of the geyser.

I agree with you that it isn't rainfall, But it can't be a geyser either for two reasons.

1. Geyser are hot boiling water. people can't stand around geysers not to talk of touching it like the man in the video did.

2. Geysers commonly occur where there is a water body like a river or so. there's no water body in the location. which leaves one option only, a burst pipe.
