And u tink dis strategy can reduce d rate of unemployment...this is same nigeria where workers r nt paid salaries for many months, dis same country where workers r being sacked without any gud reason....I pray God make dis country right

This is the single largest employment strategy by any government.. 600,000 people engaged to work and learn skills... Those that learn software development and hardware can easily be self employed.

I believe this can stimulate the economy.

N-Power addresses the challenge of youth unemployment by providing a structure for large scale and relevant work skills acquisition and development while linking its core and outcomes to fixing inadequate public services and stimulating the larger economy. The modular programmes under N-Power will ensure that each participant will learn and practice all that is necessary to find or create work. The N-Power Teacher Corp involves a massive deployment of 500,000 trained graduates who will assist to improve the inadequacies in our public services in education, health and civic education. S.

Do you work with this govt?

It would have come out anyway, whether the president was available or not. For now, Osinbajo is the acting president, that is why the press statement is coming from his office.

I suggest Seun organize a mass orientation for youths on this forum. The level of secondary illiteracy displayed here is growing by the day and is very alarming.

It is not slavery.

1. You learn agricultural skills for those in Agric... You can start something on your own.

2. Other learn software development and hardware repair.... which can make them independent.

3. It keeps youths engaged until something else crops up. It is far better than being idle.

Whether Buhari is around or not, the VP's office coordinates many of the programs of this government including all that has to do with the economy. Osinbajo has been the most the busy VP Nigeria has ever had trumping Atiku's record in less than a year. Buhari must be commended for allowing his deputies work.

I agree.. Even during his first tenure as military head of state, he gave Idiagbon a lot of free hand.

Took my time to read every word, I would actually advise every youth out there who's interested to apply. Though one thing about these government policies is they look so good on paper, but it's the implementation that's their undoing. Let's hope this one works, Nigeria is in dire need of any program that would give the country's resources directly to the street level citizens without having to pass thru "political middlemen".
