More often than not, majority carries the vote, but then, does it mean that the minority is wrong or they are just being overpowered by a mass of sentimental opinions? All around the world, Mandela is celebrated as an icon, a freedom fighter, an advocate of democracy, a soft-hearted man who after enduring oppression chose to pardon transgression; all of which successfully landed him a Nobel Prize. Admittedly, there are a few who dispute the credibility of Mandela’s honesty, and it is that group and their opinions that matter in this article. What if Mandela is not the saint most of us have been made to believe he is?

It's what I was trying to tell MduZa sometime ago. He maintained the status quo. The economic, political and social colonialism is still strong. Though not only in South Africa. South Africans were not fighting the handful of boers who they were seeing around. They are protected by an entire global economic and political system, and it would descend hard on any rebels. So the for comfort, Mandela, like many African leaders chose peace with the oppressors.
