No less than five persons have been confirmed killed and one missing as suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked Dusa community of Logo Local Government, Benue State.

The incident which occur in the early hours of Saturday was confirmed by the Benue Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Moses Yamu.

He said, " five people were confirmed killed and their corpses deposited at General Hospital, Ugba (Logo Local Government headquarters) while one person is missing".

Prior to this attack, pictures of fleeing residents of Dusa and Jun in Turan ward,  and other communities in Nengev ward of the local government flooded the social media to alert security agencies.

However, eye witnesses say the herdsmen stormed the community in the early hours of today, shooting sporadically and chanting songs of war.

Herdsmen had earlier, yesterday, killed a farmer who was working on his farm in Tse Ikyadenyo, near Jun community.

Consequently, over 1000 villagers have fled their homes to take shelter at Ugba, the local government headquarters due to fear of further attacks.

For those of you who kept clamoring for one Nigeria, who don't see anything wrong with the system of government that is in practice, who feels that the killing and destruction is far away and will never get to them, well, your time will definitely come.
Imagine that this were your people.
Your kindred. Your relatives. Your family...getting slaughtered by roving herdsmen, and your president who controls the security forces turns a blind eye. Because he is the grand patron of the herdsmen. Because he is Fulani, he is in the cattle business too, and the herdsmen are mostly Fulani.

These are private cattle businesses, yet the president is trying to use his office to appropriate communal lands to be made into grazing reserves. These killings are condoned by him, just so the people will accept the idea that grazing reserves will bring the killings to an end. That is totally flawed. It will in fact mark the beginning of the end.

the earlier the entire southern half of the country realize they should present a united front and demand for self actualization/implementation of the 2014 confab report, the better chances we have at surviving the north's agenda at subjugating the rest of us. The writing on the wall is so glaring. If we keep waiting for the politicians to make a move, we are wasting time, because they are all feeding fat on this flawed Nigeria project.
