Hello house, I want to buy a low power generator for my self-contain apartment. But am contemplating which type to go for, with this economic realities there are so many parameters to consider, fuel consumption, noise level,servicing etc, both long and short term, people with generator experience please advice me. Thanks in anticipation.

Sumec is more powerful. Around 1kva ( 1000watts) and can carry more loads than Tiger which is around 800 Watts . If you're looking for more economical generator , go for tiger . If you're looking for less economical but high load ( small fridge and iron ) carrying capacity, go for sumec

Sumec is more noisy ( not too noisy ) than Tiger but requires less servicing

Why not go for honda?

I taught that they have stopped importation of generator ....I dont know that they still import it .....But i taught that power generation have improved in the mouth of some set of people ....well , i think that sumec is better because of its capacity. Buy sumec if you are using high voltage equipments like refrigerator . But if it is just for bulbs and television , you can buy tiger because of its low consumption of fuel ....

I will go with tiger. From the pix u uploaded .. That particular sumec makes so much noise .. Tiger has a nice sound if maintained .. The only downs of tiger is u mix fuel and oil regularly unlike the sumec. ... Both saves fuel

I would say sumec. I have three at home. Unfortunately there is no way of telling if you are buying a genuine one. Also there is no way of telling which generation it is.

Firman, tiger, Elepaq, elepon, are all generic generators assembled in China solely for the purpose of making money. Those behind these generators are not interested in building a brand that will last, but a cow they will milk to death and move on from. I am saying this because the pattern is the first batch of any of these items sold in Nigeria is very good, which builds the market and buyer confidence. However, the quality drops with successive batches fabricated, so that the profit will increase.
