fayose should just accept his fate and know that karma is a bitch.

Fayose forgot about immunity when he locked up Asiwaju Tinubu and other ex-governors like Segun Osoba, Niyi Adebayo in Ekiti during his first tenure with the backing of Obj and placed them under house arrest

Was he not under immunity when he was declared persona non grata by the boys in Lagos and he dare not visit Lagos then due to the way he treated the then Lagos state Governor earlier in ekiti at a burial ? He was made to beg and apologized for his earlier behavior before he was escorted to Lagos by a forgiving Tinubu .

Was he not enjoying immunity when his building in Lagos was demolished because the house was built on the canal

It is not everything you can enjoy under immunity Mr Governor !!!

Imagine what APC and our so-called intellectuals would've said had EFCC under Jonathan froze the account of the then Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi and then come up this unconstitutional and flimsy excuse.

The radical opposition would've set the country on fire. The NASS would've invited Magu to explain the nonsense he just spewed but alas we have APC and Buhari, authoritarianism is now permissible.

Gosh

You can shove your beer parlour opinion where the sun don't shine. How can you possibly expect an ex-Nigerian leader and ex-General to have had just 1 million naira in his account, even if this was 1983?

He said he had at least N1 million, not just N1 million. Semantics.

Meanwhile, this is about the ponmo-dicer, not the anti-corruption czar.

MrPresident1:

I hope you know that Buhari's account oozes the odious stench of corruption too. Before the elections, Buhari declared about 1million Naira as the money in his account and told us he took a loan to buy the APC form. In his asset declaration form after, he declares 30million Naira, how did he come about this money in so short a time?

Objectivity will not kill anyone, when shit hits the roof, those who think that they are immune will find out that they themselves are mere pawns to be brutally dispensed with.

You honestly sound confused. Nobody is saying the EFCC has the power to PROSECUTE a sitting governor covered by immunity. What they definitely, assuredly, and affirmatively have the power to do is to INVESTIGATE a sitting governor (accounts are frozen to facilitate investigation in case you've been living under a rock).

Do your research on the powers of the EFCC and you will definitely be less puzzled.

You are right, I remember 2.8billion pounds grew wings under the 'anti-corruption czar's ' watch in 1978, unaccounted for till date. Your fantastically corrupt anti-corruption czar, who cannot provide his primary school certificate even if his life depended on it, can only be a model person for the most perfidious of individuals.

Shifting goal post after your propaganda has been blown to pieces cheesy? You can wail from now till thy kingdom come, I have told you I have no time for beer parlour banter.

In 1977, the military head of state, Lt. Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, set up a crude oil sales tribunal to investigate the operations of the Nigerian National Oil Company (NNOC, which metamorphosed into NNPC same year).

The tribunal found out that in three years, NNOC had failed to collect its equity share of oil produced by Shell, Mobil and Gulf.

As a joint venture partner, NNOC was entitled to 182.95 million barrels of oil production. But NNOC did not find buyers for its own share, thereby losing a potential income of $2.8 billion.

When next you want to spread your lazy and cheap propaganda, ensure you are alone in a bright room looking in your mirror, because you can only fool yourself. As I said, this is about the train station celebrity, not the anti-corruption Czar.

I'm done with you.

While his citizens strike and suffer, the overfed train station model is crying over his frozen millions.

Yes the EFCC has a right (duty, I should say) to investigate suspicious transactions in any account. However, are they empowered to FREEZE an account without a court order to that effect?

Below is Section 34 (1) of the EFCC Act that requires a court order before the EFCC can freeze any person's account. We need to insist that our institutions follow the rule of law.

How about the whereabouts of the primary school certificate of the fantastically corrupt dogs vs baboon crooner? Any perfidious defence for that too?

And just to burst your lies, your fantastically corrupt cheesy 'anti corruption czar' was indicted for thievery by the Justice Ayo Irikefe panel that probed the 2.8 billion pounds loot. grin

In 1983, When the Senate Committee late Saraki chaired was investigating the stolen $2.8 Billion, from the coffers of NNPC Between 1977-1978, under Buhari's watch as NNPC Boss. Muhammadu Buhari was indicted by the Nigerian Senate over the missing funds, as the Money was traced to his Bank accounts with British bank, Midland bank, now HSBC.

Muhammadu Buhari and his Military gangs staged the 1983 coup that ousted the Shehu Shagari-led government to cover up his indictment by Senate Committee and the Justice Ayo Irikefe panels that probed the missing 2.8 billion dollars oil money.

I'm done with you too wink

Ofunaofu:
The Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission, EFCC, has reacted to the claim
that Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State cannot
be investigated because of immunity currently
being enjoyed by him.
The commission said that the immunity being
enjoyed by any governor does not prevent the
commission from investigating suspicious
movements of money into his accounts.
The Spokesman for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren
told Vanguard that the anti-graft agency has
the right to investigate any governor whose
account is being used to move funds.
“Immunity does not prevent EFCC from
investigating suspicious accounts of those
enjoying immunity and Fayose cannot be an
exception, “the commission said.
