I really hope you find this article helpful, If you are not diabetic, please
share it because someone may just need the information.
A diagnosis of diabetes is definitely life changing, but people with the
condition can enjoy a full life doing all the things they love to do. The
key is learning all you can about how to manage your diabetes, and
keep seeking new information.
Experts refer to the ABC's of diabetes (A1c, blood pressure and
cholesterol) as 3 key things for a patient with diabetes to track in order
to prevent long term complications. A1c is sometimes referred to as
"hemoglobin A1c". This blood test tells the patient what their average
blood glucose (or blood sugar) has been over the previous 3 months.
Knowing your blood pressure and cholesterol is also important
because people with diabetes are at higher risk of cardiovascular
disease. That could put them more at risk for heart attacks and
strokes. By knowing their blood pressure and cholesterol numbers, and
working with their health care providers to ensure these numbers are at
goal, people with diabetes can lower their risk of cardiovascular
disease.
Once you get past the ABC's, remember to stay up-to-date on
vaccines, eye exams, and foot exams. http://www.okoyetech.com/2016/06/how-you-can-manage-diabetes.html?m=1

From experience though, after you have been diagonised of diabetes, you have go for fasting sugar test every day as you take your prescribed drugs for it. Also your blood pressure should be checked everyday as you take your medication. Diabetes and high blood pressure goes together. The reason for the frequent test is to ascertain when the sugar is lower than normal and likewise the blood pressure. Curtail your intake of carbohydrates and other sugary foods. Seriously, it is truely a big man's sickness as its being depicted.
