After resigning from his post as the director general of the Peoples Democratic Party , PDP governors’ forum, Osaro Onaiwu has picked the form to contest the Edo gubernatorial election. The ex-DG has now pitched his tent with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and his new party has confirmed his interest in the September 10 gubernatorial election in the state. In a tweet via its Twitter handle, APGA wrote: Follow APGA Nigeria @ApgaHQ BREAKING| Osaro Onaiwu picks APGA nomination form to contest Edo Gubernatorial Elections. 7:25 PM - 21 Jun 2016 8 8 Retweets likes Meanwhile, Osagie Ize-Iyamu has won PDP’s recently-concluded Edo governorship primary election. Iyamu won the election by a total of 584 votes to emerge winner, beating his closest rival, Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, who scored 91 votes, to come a distant second. The other candidate, Mr Solomon Edebiri polled 38 votes to come third.
