Overly breeding within our human society is still running smoothly in Africa unabated. Within Nigeria, a man will get married to a woman, they will instantly start giving birth within a year after marriage. The utmost obligation they would assume as years roll by is how to raise their kids, on an average of 5 children. Food, medication, schooling and pretty much other expenses in a country ravaged by extreme rate of poverty - greater percentage of the people live below a dollar daily. High spirit of expectations from the suffering parents and the children; too many population of its people scrambling to meet end needs in a country where there is red alert unemployment.

Parents denying themselves the luxury of marriage and life in general in order to train their children. There is this recycling of giving-birth to many children, suffering, high expectations and dead, occurring with the units of individual homes.

When will we be aware of the lethal consequences of having too many kids. There should be a call for action to the government to make family planning compulsory in Nigeria. It is never in our advantage threading this path. We should better have a kid or two per couple to enhance healthy living, than giving birth to a community by a single family, suffering and continuous revival of the old system of selfish gene.

A visit to any village or city within Nigeria will testify to a ravaging trend of unemployed men and women (and people with unstable jobs) breeding a high number of 6 to 8 children. Bringing to life conscious souls to witness the horror of hunger, ill medication, and future filled with uncertainty and pessimistic.

As a firsthand witness to this scenario, being born in a polygamous home with sixteen honorable sisters and brothers by one man, it had not been an easy experience. We youths should join hands to fight such menace from spreading the more.

It's not about too many children in your case but too many wives.

Too many wifes contributes to greater number of birth rate. I will not necessarily say much about restricting people from having more than one wife but actions should be taken to deter parents from having many children.

If one woman gives a man 8-10 children, as long as the man is able to take responsibility of the kids, he will see the benefit of having many kids.

Thats not always the case. Infact greater percentage of Nigerian parents are poverty ridden and can't obviously take care of their many kids.
