i have followed this thread for quite a while now and i have noticed one thing, i think we turn to fertility treatments so quickly
i dont mean to be hard, but we should know that clomid and other fertility treatments have their own side effects, it is not as if they arent good but the truth is that once you go down that road of assisted reproduction, it might be no turning back.

women that take clomid usually experience very bad mood swings and their cycles get very irregular, even the most fertile couple just has a 25% chance of conceiving every time they try, in one year, a fertile couple has a 75% chance of conceiving, so we can see that the figures arent very high, i advise that if your one year of TTC has been unsuccesful then turn to natural fertility treatments
but i guess we all like something that has been prescribed to do the magic for us rather than a natural cure

after one unsuccesful year of TTC, the likely cause might be from the womans reproductive tract, being unable to move the sperm into the uterus, STDs and poor health can cause these, but STDs can be treated, and poor health can be improved, a good fertility specialist should prescribe some natural vitamins that boost fertility, regular exercise and a balanced diet should boost chances of conceiving
if you are a lady and you dont suffer from fibroid, endometriosis, a blocked fallopian tube, then you are in the "unexplained category of infertility", send a mail to pregnancysolution@gmail.com, you will be replied by the end of the day.

Pls @all what is it with brownish spotting before my period, last two periods it came on day 25 and period started proper on day 27. Today (day 26), am supposed to ave my period but the spotting has started again. When i told my gynea last month, he gave an explanation i cant get. Something about a tighter cervix, i dont get dat. Pls lemme into ur findings.
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by MyPeace(f): 2:10pm On Jul 16, 2010
l wont worry about that. l think its normal for somepple to spot few days to real period. However, you won't count the spotting day(s) as a start of ur cycle. l believe all is well with you.
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Aladunni(f): 6:39pm On Jul 16, 2010
@mypeace, thanks for dat. But whats with the clause "i believe all is well with you".
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Nobody: 10:24am On Jul 17, 2010
I agree with you 50% problems with trying to concieve is probably due to male.

The male has to provide sufficient concentration of spermatozoa.

The spermatozoa needs to be of sufficient quality.

Couples trying to concieve may find it useful to have the male's spermatozoa analysed, along with other fertility tests on the female.

Also couples mayneed to ensure they baby dance on the fertile days of the female's cycle.

Perhaps it may be useful if the weekly updates contains an additional entry : Days Baby Dancing in the cycle (DBD)

e.g  DBD: 9, 11, 13, 14, 20, 23

Congratulobia masido, the lord will go through with you in dis. So which type of preseed did you use? Lol
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Nobody: 12:23am On Jul 18, 2010
Congrats Masido, I have my fingers crossed for u! smiley

@ Arlington,
I appreciate that some ppl like u may find it embarrassing to report days that they baby dance. The reason I feel it may be helpful is because others can advise people who may be not be baby dancing during their most fertile days.

Of course if someone does not want to report the baby dancing days they could leave it out.

My dear people, thanks for your prayers and kind words, the God that has done this for me will surely bless you and grant you your heart's desires, Amen.

@Aladunni,
the one i used is called pre-seed, fertility-friendly intimate moisturizer, vaginal lubricant.i used it with the applicator that came with it.i bought it in a store called JELITA Pharmacy,no 9, Alh Kofowrola Cres.off Awolowo Way,Ikeja.

@all,
let me share with you guys, some of the things that worked for me, first of all, it was God o,He made this to happen, so, i give Him all the praise and thanks. Then i used Predicte Ovulation Test kit, vitamin B-6( 50mg ),Chelated Zinc ( 50mg), vitamin C(500mg), Dr Meyer's Folic Acid + B12, and any cough mixture that has Guaifenesin BP in it( it helps to increase your cervical mucus during ovulation) and pre-seed lubricant. Above all these, i prayed o, like never before.i hope this improves someone's chances of conceiving here.
It is well with all of us.Cheers!

^^^ thanks for that, but on a second thot, can dis work for everyone?
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by MyPeace(f): 10:47am On Jul 19, 2010
@Aladunni, l mean that there is no problem with u, that everything is working well.

@labella12, l bought preseed fertility friendly intimate moisturizer.

@ masido, congratulations!

@ all,
l finish the five day clomid pill on saturday, l learnt l would ovulate 5-9 days after the clomid. still on the lookout for ovulation.
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by labella12: 11:39am On Jul 19, 2010
@mypeace thanks thats the one i bought but i noticed it was diff from the one on the website
are u using OPK's? have u used clear blue digital ovulation test kits its a lot easier than having to look at the lines if it is darker or not
you just look out for your smiley to detect ur surge but dont test too close to ur finishing clomid it can cause a false positve u need to wait for 3 days after the last dose

Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by AratOluda: 3:05pm On Jul 19, 2010
@Masido Congrats. The Lord who started this good work will bring it to a perfect completion. Am happy for you.

@ MyPeace, Your testimony is on the way. Dont forget the preseed as confirmed by Masido. I normally ovulate 10 days after finishing clomid all the time I used it ( 6 times and the only time I used with preseed i got pregnant) so just keep looking out for the ovulation. It is well

@ Arlington, Stages Luvly, How are you doing?

I av been an ardent follower of this page & I must the efforts you all trying to help one another by sharing of info and experience and this had helped a lot. Even if we are eventually going to end up with doctor, it’s good having a first hand knowledge of probable problem so that one can know how to go about it. I pray to God to continue making all tviers’s efforts fruitful

i have read some commect about clomid & preseed,
Can the two be used together? I remember the pharmacist telling my wifey to start taking clomid 1 tablet a day starting from last day of menstruation and stop after 5 days of usage. Is that correct?
As for preseed, when should we start using it? what is the likely chance of it working if the problem of conceiving is from the man and not the woman? Does it help man erection and sperm movement/motility?
Looking forward to your advice.

Does anybody in Lagos have an idea of good fertility doctor in Lagos (pls not the expensive ones because I no fit afford am even if I don’t mind spending millions to have children if I have it.

@ all i missed my Monday update i am still in my sick sick phase i am OK. but when i eat i feel like throwing up for the next 6 hours but it is better than nothing. i have started feeling something like butterflies in my stomach , my sister said it is the baby shocked it sometimes feels strange but i am taking it all down with joy in my heart and i pray to everyone here that you all shall experience this .

@ my peace BD timetable i almost fell off my chair so it is Monday nothing dey happen ,Tuesday blood tonic today na today , Friday cook hot soup and stockfish show time grin

@ Bettle where you at?

@ TTCMAN, welcome here i will answer your questions to the best of my ability ,since i am not a doctor but hold a PHD in TTC grin
Preseed is a sperm friendly lubricant it makes a nice environment for the sperm it does not harm the sperm .Preseed to my knowledge can be used anytime, It does not help with erection. Sorry to ask but have you done a semen analysis to check what your motility is? i know men take zinc tablets to help with sperm counts.

Now clomid , i have used only under doctors supervision and again and again i state that using clomid just on your own has some bad side effects, like hyper stimulation and thinning of the uterus lining ,which will just be a waste as no conception can take place when the lining is too thin.

And on the 3rd day of my cycle i go in to the doctors and they check to make sure i have follicles for that cycle then that evening i start taking my clomid for 5 days the main job of clomid is to help you produce more than one egg for your ovulation and it depends on how a woman's body responds to it she might need just 50mg or 100mg only a doctor can determine that.

After the 5 days you should ovulate anyway from day 10 to 13 but the only way i have done mine is my taking an injection that triggers ovulation in 24 to 48 hours. i will ovulate anywhere between then so you have to BD around that time alotttttttttttttttttttt! since you are not having a doctors intervention for now.
Ask your wife if she feels pains during ovulation clomid can be painful for some women so around when you a woman is too ovulate she may feel it more painful than normal if she is to release more than one egg. Hope this helps a bit . as for doctors i really don't know any inexpensive one in Lagos i wish you the best of luck.
