Regular activities have fully picked up at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), with the announcement of the Pre-Admission Screening Exercise for prospective students for the 2016/2017 academic session. Undergraduate students had earlier concluded the first semester of the 2015/2016 academic session successfully, while postgraduate examinations are still in progress. FUNAAB 's Pre-Admission Screening Exercise is from Mon. Jul 25 to Wed. Jul 27, 2016.Details are on our website.

Although, an industrial action embarked upon by members of the three Non-teaching Staff Unions in the University- the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU), the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Education and Associated Institutions (NASU); under the auspices of the Joint Action Committee (JAC), caused a slight disruption, normal activities have since resumed in full swing at FUNAAB. Staff are busy at their duty posts, while business operators are actively attending to their clients and customers in the University.

The restored normalcy and convivial working atmosphere is as result of the agreement between the University Management and the concerned Staff Unions. Issues bordering on welfare are being resolved. Productivity bonus has been granted to staff, as morale boosters and to cushion the effects of the austere period the entire nation is facing.  Advertisements to fill the existing vacancies for various positions have been published, which underscores the University Management's passionate belief in staff development. Hence, relevant staff are being encouraged to present additional qualifications, when such qualifications are acquired, for lateral conversion, subject to approved budgetary provision. The process for the 2016 conversion exercise which commenced earlier in the year, would be concluded within the shortest period of time. Provision for others would be made appropriately within the 2017 budget, since the exercise is a continuous one. In furtherance to the Management's determination to maintain a conducive working environment for its workforce, additional working tools and equipment are being provided for Environmental Officers and other personnel, to enhance productivity.

Meanwhile, candidates are advised to confirm the admission requirements into respective Degree Programmes and further details on the University Admission Portal, http://admission.unaab.edu.ng.

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, appreciates all stakeholders for the confidence reposed in the University, while assuring that FUNAAB is determined to maintain its focus on attaining a world-class status and remaining one of the most beautiful, peaceful and academically-sound universities in the country.
