The Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) weekend adopted the PDP candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, as its candidate for the election.

The party said the decision was taken after its leadership and some members in Edo State carefully assessed the candidates of the two major parties, PDP, and APC.

Edo State chairman of the PDM, Nosa Omorodion, who led some other members of his executive to the residence of the PDP candidate, said his party would make available their resources for the actualization of his gubernatorial ambition.

He said he would rally other smaller political parties in Edo State to give their support to Pastor Ize-Iyamu as there was no need for them to present governorship candidates that cannot go anywhere, adding that the change brought upon the country by the APC has been disastrous.

I will keep on screaming ' No man born of woman will do well in governance with the present socio-political structure in Nigeria'. We need a structure that encourages hard work and healthy competition. That is how strong institutions are built. Monthly allocations from Federal Government encourage laziness and population boom instead of economic growth. Ize- Iyamu or whoever is voted will still go the way of Oshiomole, Prof. Osunbor or other governors who go about commissioning bore holes and school blocks. In a saner clime, it is only projects that generate wealth that are commissioned instead of those that provide basic needs.

This man is killing it almost on daily basis..... I see Oshiomole going desperate in the coming weeks but he will meet his match. I am really disappointed in Oshiomole being a former Natipnal Labour Union Leader, we can infer then that he was only pretending to be active while he is now showing his real character as a Governor.

They should endeavor to close loopholes. Take form for him and give him second backing. While all of us know he is of PDP if he is going to camouflage with PDM ticket good to prevent a repeat of Amaechi and Omehia case. I see PDP winning and court identifying Sheriff's candidate as the authentic PDP's nominee.

Why IzeIyamu is busy campaigning..... Obaseki is busy partying in US......later INEC will tell us the election is inconclusive

Did you know that there are only 13 Chemistry teachers and 17 Physics teachers in entire Edo State with over 200 secondary schools?
For the past 8 years, no single recruitment, no bursary, no single local or foreign investor/investment (apart from Iara ).....all we had was tax, multiple ticketing, tuition fees increment.
Now, that's what I call dark ages.

Governance is more than just eating corn few weeks to election. Dude is a disgrace to governance and labour unions
