Physics as a discipline requires learners to employ a variety
of methods of understanding and to translate from one to the
other--words, tables of numbers, graphs, equations,
diagrams, maps. Physics requires the ability to use algebra
and geometry and to go from the specific to the general and
back. This makes learning physics particularly difficult for
many students. Now physics is just as simple as every other subject, the problem is, students have been programmed right from the first day in ss1 basic physics class that its hard. The problem here is not the physics itself but the fear of physics being hard so,
1. Fear
2. Lack of confidence in ones self
3. When your first teacher is a jerk
4. When you can't even ask question of why things are done the way they ar being done.
5. Too much Tv and gadgets...

Physics is very simple trust me, and the applications are in the day to day activities, just bend down and look at your textbook again with a different perspective and see what am talking about.
