Lemme help you out a lil bit.

Android OS usually create file folders called thumbnails in your phone's memory and this is the cause of memory decrease on most phones running Android OS. The size may vary depending on how often you take pictures or how much pictures you stored on your phone memory.

There're various options that can remedy the problem but let me give you two based on my personal experience:

1. Search and delete any folder or file with the name .thumbnails.

2. Go to your DCIM folder and create a file or folder with the name '.nomedia'. You can select folders containing images and create the '.nomedia' file in them.

Note: Any folder you create the .nomedia file in will restrict the phone's Gallery app from reading or seeing the contents of the folder.

60MB with 720p HD at 30 fps
130MB with 1080p Full HD at 30 fps
200MB with 1080p Full HD at 60 fps
375MB with 4K at 30 fps


Phones now snap 7MB per photo.......

There's nothing like memory calculation problem on Samsung flagship phones. Either u are out of memory or ur brother bought u a cloned s6. Trust me if u are not tech savvy u won't be able to differentiate the real from cloned by mere looking at it.

Before u reset ur phone, first boot ur phone into download mode (Odin) to see if it is a real Samsung phone. Press the power button, volume down and home button simultaneously for a few seconds. U will see the download mode, press volume up to continue. If try is a genuine Samsung it will go into download mode and u will see Odin mode written in red, and then below u will see the product name and system status official. If it is fake it will display some things in Chinese.

If u think that is too complicated then download cpu z from the play store and run it. It will give u the device name, amount of memory, the processor it is using, battery size, etc. From them u can know if it is fake or not.

Backup your media files and contacts only and wipe it. Be sure to check the media files if they're truly the ones you know.

The advantage Apple has over Samsung is due to the fact that Apple produces everything for itself but not entirely by itself. They have this ecosystem thingy built around itself, only for itself alone.

The iOS is not an open ended OS unlike Android, this gives Apple ample room space to refine and design everything to run efficiently and smoothly.

Samsung only produces the hardware (phone) and not the software (Android OS). So imagine you were born by a parent and raised up to function by another parent.
