The student union goverrnment (SUG) kogi state university has teamed up with the national association of nigerian students NANS to protest against three months of industrial action by the academic staff union of universities ASUU kogi state university chapter


The protest which took place today at ganaja junction lokoja,

the states capital the university's SUG president omepa philip shaibu after a meeting with NANS president tijani usman announced that the protest will take place today (14 JULY)

the lecturers embarked on strike to press home demand for thier 5 months salary arrears the state government reportedly paid 4 months of the salary arrears. the union however, insisted on geting their demands in full as issues borthering on the 1 month outstanding salary and tax rebate lingered
