Especially when you piss off so many people at the same time.
Now turkish people may be at the mercy of ISIS bombings since
their friend no longer calls the shots.

Actually, ISIS depends 100% on Turkey for supplies and trade.
Besides, the Turkish army is in the best position to totally annihilate ISIS.

Erdogan has been a crazed lame duck for time now. He has to go for negotiations in Syria to happen.

There's no way he can survive this.

Well hopefully he doesn't regain control

He's been a barking mad dog hiding under the umbrella of NATO, now he's been relegated to making FaceTime calls

I was actually referring to underground ISIS sympathisers such as the the France's
Nice attacker who carries out attack to gain credibility.
The main ISIS army won't be much of a trouble to Turkish Army.

Well that is pretty easy. The only big compaines in Saudi Arabia is in the oil industry. Turkey on the other hand is much more diverse.

GDP per capita

Saudi Arabia: $ 31,300 (2013)

Turkey: $ 15,300 (2013)

http://www.indexmundi.com/saudi_arabia/gdp_per_capita_(ppp).html

If we go by the GDP per capita and omit the fact that Saudi Arabia is less inclined to adopt our values, we can clearly refute the statement that Turkey is economically more successful or better developed - for now.

Secularism is secularism. Gulen and Gulenists are not secular. They are religious zealots. Research who Gulen is. You evidently don't know.

You mean the same person that said this?

Governments in the Muslim world must design school curricula that nurture democratic values. Civil society has a role in promoting respect and acceptance....Finally, it is imperative that Muslims support equal rights for women and men. Women should be given opportunity and be free from social pressures that deny their equality.

What is secularism?

Further reason why every Nigerian president/HOS puts his men in charge of military affairs while retiring their predecessors appointees.

Expect Buhari to unrepentantly and strategically Northernize Nigeria's military in coming days.

Morroco has a better gdp per capital than nigeria. Which economy is more developed and dynamic?

Qatar's gdp per capital is bigger than the usa and the uk. Which economy is more dynamic?

And how are you certain of that? Don't be silly.

You think it's a coincidence few weeks ago Erdogan tried to mend fences with Russia?

He obviously could sense power fleeing from his grasp.

A coup isn't an impromptu action, it takes time and planning, alliances has to be formed. This coup is as a result of a combination of both internal & external factors.

Don't be surprise when Russia becomes the first to recognise a new military government

Erdogan is going nowhere. Any attempt to launch him out of turkey through the air is considered a suicide mission. He's saving grace for now is the police force that is still loyal to him. Well, the military is going overrun the police force soon and Erdogan will be history.

FYI, Putin has no hand in this.

Bro!! I will appreciate if you don't get things twisted.

Morals and orientation is our major problem here in Nigeria regardless of Northerners influence.

Kindly take religion which is the opium of the masses here with us out of the context.

We are ripe for democracy yet as it is obvious we compare ourselves to developed and western countries for good.

With military rule. Stability and control will be absolutely adhered to no doubt..

With such upbringing and availability of all needed facilities, we are on the verge of getting things right first, subsequently, democracy can be introduced for good.

Think deep and digest my opinion.

Peace be upon you bro.

I wish and always concur for a true and profitable Nigeria....

Bruh we don't need military rule... Who says the military is also not corrupt, selfish and incompetent.. Don't be mislead.. Nigeria has being led for more years by the military than civilians...and the result is appauling,go check your history books or use Wikipedia .. We are doing great with democracy.. Like it or not,we are progressing gradually.

Going by the GDP per capita, Morroco has the more successful economy at this point in time.

And people don't care if wealth is brought to them from one or different sourcess; just ike you wouldn't care where the millions come from as long as they keep coming. This is the mainstream perspective and pretty much explains the success of many dictators.

Sultan Erdogan fanboys, where are thou? grin

Erdogan's plate was full: repression of the press and heavy handed crackdown on freedom of speech, providing aid jihadists in Syria and Iraq and allowing them free unhindered access through Turkey, illegal cross border incursions into Syria and Iraq, the genocidal crackdown on Kurds where several Kurish cities were wiped out, shooting down a Russian jet which in turn tanked the economy when Russian tourists stopped visiting and the general instability that Erdogan's actions brought upon his country are all possible reasons why these brave military officers have staged this coup

Erdogan's apology to Putin and his move to seek a detente in relations with Russia and step back from his ill-advised and delusional goals came too late. Good riddance!

CC: Zoharariel, Appleyard, Scully95

Good riddance indeed! I'm more than excited at this news. If by tomorrow this coup holds, President Assad of Syria would be assured of victory over all them Gulf state-sponsored jihadists and USA's al"CIA"da.

Well, if you can recall a similar situation in Egypt not too long ago, all the US has to do
In fact, John Kerry has already spoken, and has surreptitiously telegraphed the US support for the this " unanticipated transition".

Rather than condemn the coup outrightly as would have been expected of a big Ally of Turkey, he was somewhat circumspect when he said " we look forward to restoration of peace and continuity".

That tells the whole story.
