Copied as received The Brutal Killings of innocent people in Igbo Olomu community, Isawo, Ikorodu ,Lagos is fast becoming a gravely menace which may stir up the often shunned ethnic war between the Yoruba's and the Ijaw people who reside in the area. Truly, you, reading this may be quick to take offense at the mention of another tribe, but this is the harsh reality of what has been going on in the community for months now. Isn't it true that the primary aims and goal of any government are the provision of social amenities and protection of the lives of its people? This which is artistically redefined and fine tuned is often very profound and evident in all election manifestoes year- in - year out, and can be said to be the major motivation for the casting of votes during these election periods. This is because, the people believe that any government who cherishes their lives is indeed the one of them (The people), for them (The people) and by them ( The people). But, have we asked ourselves, what happens when insecurity creeps in slowly like meningitis and suddenly take the lives of people? Have we ever asked ourselves when the government defies its primary aim, and make people pay with their lives , what should be done? Have we ever asked ourselves, that when people begin to live in fear and threat, because their lives and properties can be lost any time, what they should do? Have we asked ourselves, that should children look forward to becoming orphans, while spouses look for becoming widows or widowers, and even forced being childless anytime soon because of lack of security, what should be done? This has being the case in this community where lives have been lost and properties are being stolen day and night, and has made the people question if we still have a sitting governor in Lagos state? This BC was composed in tears as regards the menace which has befallen its composer, over the loss of the lives of family and friends in this area where the ijaw boys live.

No matter how vehement they deny it, the ethnicity of those criminals is not in doubt. They are Ijaw Militant. They shall surely get their comeuppance

The only solution to this problem is for the youths in that area to arm themselves and do the needful

I heard Elepete community in Ikorodu is ghost town now and It's not looking like this will end anytime soon

According to a reliable source, there used be this "chemistry" between the Yorubas in that area and the Ijaw vandals
until some people reported them. Now that the vandalism thing has been checkmated, they've resorted to killing
and kidnapping the residents

Obviously, it's no more about pipelines. There are ulterior motives behind these killings

Bros, yesterday night, youths(local vigilante) assisted the RRS in carrying out an operation to rescue a NUPENG official that was abducted by those Ijaw Militants in the Agric area of Ikorodu - It was successful. While that was going on, the report of the Ijaw Militant attack in Iyana Iba started filtring in.

The truth is that Ijaw Militants have inflitrated virtually all the creeks and waterways of Lagos, Ogun and Ondo and they are very well armed, the past administartion really empowered them. Unfortunately, OPC, the standing Yoruba ethnic militia that we have in Yorubaland has been defanged due to political reasons. To add salt to injury, our f**lish leaders in yorubaland have been nonchalant about the whole issue.

The country is a joke!

When their actions impact oil, FG goes noodles. When they murder people, it's brushed off

You don't need a medicine man to tell u what the govt places a premium on. It's not lives, It is oil

It's crazy though. People who don't even number up to say 1000 terrorizing the whole SW.

Amosun hasn't even said anything about it. Most Yorubas aren't saying anything about it either. They're
still busy arguing dust about Melaye and Tinubu

Those Ijaw boys were Oil pipeline vandals. Jonathan gave them and the OPC(jonathan used the contract to ingratiate OPC and Yinka Odumakin's faction of Afenifere so as to win their support for his relection. The OPC werent really carried along) a pipeline protection contract to checkmate crude oil theft; an initiative akin to asking a cat to guard a rat. Despite the contract, those ijaw criminals were still bunkering fuel and selling it to locals at cheap prices.

When Buhari came on board, he canceled the contract but the ijaw boys werent disarmed. The acquired arms they had is what they now use to cause mayjem all over the Yorubaland

The locals also have to take their own share of the blame

And will the killing of locals even bring back the contracts? Also, who are the people currently protecting the pipelines?

Those who were patronising the Oil Bunkers just be like guy man wey see free pu_ssy. Buhari ordered the Armed Forces to protect ''the nation's critical assests'', but truth be told, it is utterly impossible for the Navy and NSCDC alone to protect the thousands of KM long pipelines. The first sign that I got about a brewing trouble was when the Ijaw Militants killed nine DSS operative at the creeks of Arepo, Ogun state the same week Buhari canceled that contract. Moreso, most of those corrupt security personnel work in cahoot with the bunkers

So basically, the pipelines are now being protected by the Navy and the NSCDC meaning there is some security presence
in that area. They can protect pipelines but they cannot protect citizens around. Ara nkan ta n so naa niyen

Look at what this fool is saying https://www.thecable.ng/dont-use-force-militants-many-people-will-fight-gani-adams-asks-buhari
