The San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) International is a multi-genre entertainment and comic convention held annually in San Diego California.

(Please note that there are a lot other kinds of Comic-cons but the SDCC is the most popular)

It is a four-day event (Thursday–Sunday) held during the summer at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California. On the Wednesday evening prior to the official opening of the event, there is a preview for professionals, exhibitors, and select guests pre-registered for all four days.

Comic-Con International also produces two other conventions, WonderCon , held in Los Angeles, California, and the Alternative Press Expo (APE), held in San Francisco.

Founded in 1970, The SDCC has had 46 years to impact and service fans with all they've ever wanted in the world of Movies and TV series.

Now, breaking all this grammar down to our level ...

How does the SDCC affect us?

Most of us Nigerians watch movies and TV series without really understanding the rudiments and the efforts, time and resources put into making most Hollywood blockbusters we clamour for. At the SDCC major announcements are made, first look at film trailers are shown, and many things more existing to the hardcore film (Movie and TV series) lovers.

This event is a yearly event. The 2016 edition rounds up tonight (Sunday 24, 2016).

So far a lot of major announcements have been giving; the twenty four privileged TV shows that graced the Hall of The SDCC have giving announcements that have made many fans shed tears and many laugh. Amongst the many (supposed) sad news is the end of the road for popular TV shoes like The Vampire Diaries and Teen Wolf, who's journey will come to an end after their upcoming seasons.

A lot of interesting updates on the side of Movies and TV series concerning media power houses, Marvel and DC have also been given. Spiderman: Home coming, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2, Justice League, Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, even Legion (an upcoming FX series related to the Xmen movies) have all had something to say in anticipation for the future.

If you haven't been following the SDCC, now is surely a good time to start if you love quality film pleasure.
