People seem to forgets that there are standards in both Electrical (Power) and Electronics (telecommunication and extra low voltage systems) respectively IEE and IEEE, this sensitive position seems to do deal with regulation in Power! My take the appointee still is a misfit in that position, the nwoye guy from unilag wud have been better let's forget the diaspora thing and the schools he attended rather let's concentrate on the projects he has worked on, they are all on extra low voltage systems, how then will he make regulations for high voltage systems? When a different set of rules play for both?

Yea, i understand. But for the NERC job, we don't need "basic law". We need someone who will be able to hold them responsible for their actions in accordance with the laws that binds them and drag them as far as the cases take them.

An engineer is fit to be in charge of the power ministry, Genco, Transco or Disco or even the NERC but the best fit for NERC, to me, is a lawyer with basic electrical engineering knowledge.

Look Mr man, a creative, visionary, dynamic and innovative president will get it right, first time and on time. He doesn't need to satisfy anybody or group he should just do the right this once and for all, but if he keeps walloping from side to side at the expense of our nation and our children we will shout because we have no other country than this
