Amacaco:
May this be replicated in other parts of the Federation so that the masses will enjoy the benefits of the democratic system instead of pains all the time.
Starting withthe Lagos to Ibadan. This route is LOOONNNG overdue. It will greatly reduce motor accidents on the Lagos-Ibadan express way and reduce the heavy traffic stress on that road.

Why not go for leather seats ? These seats can get worn out in no time.

Amaechi is like Mordecai in the bible trying to steal anothers persons glory. He is only caching in on another man's idea and projects, he should be original and do he own initiatives. Nigerians are wiser now.

It looks good, just like most new things. To manage this train, rail and station, it's important to put a few things in place.
1. Privatize the entire system or allow a private company buy up equity shares and operate the train, remitting profit to govt. based on its equity.
2. Ensure the right expert are engaged, where there is a gap, train the workers.
3. Train shouldn't do above its capacity.
4. Hire a facility management company to independently handle maintenance.

Should the appropriate authority put all these in place we will be guaranteed of a long lasting train service at the right fare. N600 for a 150km/hr train is ridiculous and shows a lack of understanding just the same way the stadia have been handled.

Is there a website for this train service? Can I book a seat online?

Good development but the only fear is the maintenance culture.

This is a monumental achievement of present administration although over 70% of the project was done by GEJ's administration. I want to beg the govt of the day to privatise the management of the train system in order that it might last up to 8 years.

Looks decent enough.

May many of this come to Nigeria.

Kudos to all that had one thing or the other to do with this project.

From OBJ who birthed the idea to Yar'Adua who renegotiated and funded part of the project. From GEJ who also paid part of the counterpart funding (he could have actually completed the project in 2014 if he paid all) to PMB who crossed all the T's and put dots on all the I's.

God bless you. True Nigerians should reason the way you do. TOGETHER, we make things work.

Somebody would jump on this thread and shout "Nigeria lacks a maintenance culture" the same person would suck the living daylight out of an orange and throw it out of the window of a moving vehicle.

Together, we can make this country great again but It must first come from within.

Only one train route and politicians are making a noise, SA have over 20 routes and don't make noise.

Finish with all routes first then make noise.

Others are enjoying modern trains,we're here celebrating mediocrity. That 18th century third hand train used before the world war is what the self acclaimed giant of Africa is celebrating.I pity this country and her useless leaders.

If we should know how much that was spent to acquire that thing,we'll know that it isn't worth celebrating because it's worthless.Stupid display of useless achievement and the whole hearted acceptance by the citizens remains the bane of development in Nigeria.
