A 400L student at the department of English,UDUS as emerged the new SUG president of the Usman Danfodio university in sokoto, her emergence became imminent after the impeachment of the elected SUG president, Ms. Amina Yahaya is perhaps the second female student in Northern Nigeria to occupy the office of an SUG President.

About 30 years ago, a front line activist and student politician, Najatu Mohammed, broke the first record to become the SUG president of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Najatu Mohammed contested the post and won in the early 80s, breaking the record of the first female student to occupy the office in Africa.

As a former SUG sport director of UDUS, I can say authoritatively Dat she isn't d president of d union. But rather 1 of d 2 VP's waiting for d SRA and EXCOS 2 decide who among dem shud run d affairs of d union. It happened when My president was suspended(though for offence he didn't commit), Dat both VPs were claiming presidency. But later on both were disqualified by d dean of student and my president was reinstated.
