Roberto Mancini is leaving Inter Milan for the second time. There’s said to be a lot of tension behind the scenes at the San Siro. His relationship with investors Suning Commerce Group has been rocky since they took over in June.

Objectives haven’t been met. Despite being backed in the transfer market, Mancini failed to qualify for the Champions League last season, finishing fourth. Pre-season displays have been awful.

The Italian side have only won once in seven outings, getting crushed by PSG, Bayern Munich and Spurs. Mauricio Pochettino’s men slaughtered them 6-1 on Friday with Dele Alli among the goalscorers.

The favourite to take over from Mancini is former Ajax manager Frank De Boer. The Dutch legend has been linked with the Liverpool and Spurs job in the last few years. No longer attached to his beloved Ajax, he seems like a good fit for the Nerazzurri. He won four league titles with the Eredivisie giants
