I can remember when we went to Jos prisons on eid il kabir (sallah) day during my youth service. You will have to pity those people. The reasons some of them got there will amaze you. Imagine someone awaiting trial for 15 years. In fact, on the notice board that gives statistics of inmates, real prisoners are not up to those awaiting trial. We went with several coolers containing food. The warders still took one small coolers to themselves. Wallahi, if you visit prison once in your lifetime. You will appreciate freedom. 1 Like 1 Share |
