In the West they call it Quantitative Easing - Which means Printing Money. Federal Universities are funded by the Budget, they should be budget per student. For Example if 10,000 students go into the University of Lagos in a Particular year, the cost of those students living on campus should be credited into the University Account.

The University would then use that fund to do all their capital projects thereby making most if not alll Universities to be self sufficient in the long run.

Cost per student let us assume ₦100,000 per year x 10,000 students = ₦1 Billion a year to the University of Lagos using our example. What do you guys think. That is what is done in the UK, the UK Goverment prints money, credit banks and the Banks in turn transfer the money to the Universities Accts. Cost per Home Student in the UK is £9,000.00 PER Student .

This formular can also work in Nigeria too. cool
