The Nigerian Army yesterday seems to have back tracked on the " Wanted " declaration they had earlier placed on Ahmed Sadika, Aisha Wakil and Ambassador Bolori.

Brigadier General Abubakar in this video is seen claiming they only wanted them to come and assist the Army and rub minds.

This comes after wide condemnation about the manner the three were declared wanted no invitation and when they were not on the Run.

I think it's better to backtrack than face international embarassment . Backtracking when you know you are wrong is a sign of strength.

Declaring them wanted when you hadn't even invited them was wrong. I guess the officer that did it did not think though the implications.

He acted out of emotions, rather than a strategic move.

Nairaland! Everyday I read comments here it makes realize how bad Nigeria is getting in terms of our so called "unity" or one Nigeria. Our youths come here to pour their anger with meaningless comments. Some people have decided never to be objective as long as it has to do with other tribes apart from theirs.
When this news broke, people turned it to political party war and tribal war, when they should be more concerned about people's human rights.
I wish there was a way those that run this forum can curtail these things other than banning someone. Even the banning at times, believe, is done out of prejudice.
The NA should try and be more professional. I lost hope in them after the Buratai Dubai property saga not to talk of the countless human rights abuse all over the streets of Nigeria. God help us.

Why did they declare them wanted in the first place. Nigerian Army is so backward interms of intelligence gathering. Since they cannot infiltrate Bokoharam camp, they decided to declare this people wanted. With these, they have further destroy the very lane that would have gotten closer to Bokoharam. How can they protect Nigeria's sovereignty with lack of intelligence?
