The attention of the Management of University of Jos has been drawn to a malicious rumour making the rounds of a purported strike action that is said to commence in the University as from Monday 29th August, 2016.

Management wishes to state categorically that to the best of its knowledge, no Staff Union has given any notice of an impending strike action to that effect.

The purported strike action can therefore, best be described as an idea created in the minds of peddlers of this rumour and a figment of their imagination. All members of the University community especially Students are strongly advised to disregard this misleading rumour and go about their normal academic activities without hindrance.

Please, note once again that all lectures and allied activities are to continue as normal.
