Ishmael is a descendant of Abraham.
Islam never came to existence till 400AD, and historically the people of mecca were idol worshippers. Islam was introduced to them later on.

Would you tell me that Islam was the religion of the Egyptians from the beginning?

There was no Islam during christ existence on earth because Islam came 400 years later.
