Yet the effect of these monies are never seen or felt as an average individual can't survive well let alone families.Only the leadership top shots & their cronies benefit. One of our major problem as a country is the failure to call our leaders to accountability because of hero worship esp.by the change chanters.Zamfara & Bauchi State governors were indicted for corruption but all Buhari did was to give them a pat on the back. What a country & it leaders. cry

I have said it before, our States are glorified districts. They're not employment drivers, just a way to steal funds. They'll be claiming recession now as a way not to pay salaries.
I believe their powers should be capped and strengthen the LGA systems.

Now, this is the reason they oppose true Federalism.

Kano getting the bulk.. Who their onions epp?
Bayelsa getting the least.. Perhaps a state that has been marshalling Nigeria's expenditure for years. Just visit Trovani Samabri et al, you will weep for Bayelsa. They share money to states; How the money was utilized, they care not because FG have gotten their share already.

True Federalism grants the state powers to manage their resources. As long as the FG has shares from the resources, then will they monitor the recovery of funds in the state. Also, indigenes that are not being looked after will know that their problems is from within, not far away Abuja.

Let Aresa keep spreading the word that there is no money, that's why the economy is bad. The sooner you accept the government is unprepared and confused by the behemoth of a problem before them, the quicker you return to reality tongue

Kano and Katsina receiving highest allocation for the sake of number of LGA. Can you see the annoyance of people down south? Contributing next to nothing but receiving lion share for the sake of bogus and rogue population figure. The call for true federalism and restructuring of Nigeria is long overdue.
You can have as much population you may want to have providing it is your headache to take care of them and not your neighbour who is prudent and conservative.
We have a system in Nigeria I describe as leeching and parasitic model where someone works and the other presides on its sharing formula taking the lion share.
No more research on why Nigeria is not moving forward.

we have to use a stable currency to understand the true value and compare with previous ones to help us understand if we r progressing, regressing or static. The naira is unstable right now, constantly losing it's value so 200bn naira today is like 100bn naira last year implying that those figures mentioned can be decietful to gullible ones, the ones they call zombie here
