Have you seen this nemesis4u? The Turks are increasing their presence in the tac aviation field. They've already sold a squadron of Hurkus LAPs to Niger and are now challenging your Tejas Malaysian sale with the Hurjet.
Someone purports to have a comparison!

https://eurasiantimes.com/turkeys-hurjet-indias-tejas-lca-for-malaysian-fighter-jet-deal/

Development began ONLY in 2017 which is WAYYYYY fast for FSB productionisation which can easily take a decade. For Africans in an airspace of L59s/Mig 21/23s and F 5s ofc it's a good deal though one issue remains - the Williams FJ 44 is US. Meaning expect an embargo! IIRC their ATAKs had a similar issue with the Phils' order.

I can't see anything on FAC or operating cost but if they do a JV for indig production with anyone here they'll sell like VERY well. I know Indians/Saffas/S Kors and Indonesians have long wanted such JVs.

I think this particular Ghanaian Government has done well in terms of PR. PR is powerful and it's something my country Nigeria needs to learn.
You are right on the populist ideas like free senior secondary school spending but these are some of the things some Ghanaians seem to love this Government for and what they brag about.
The free school thing and other socialist spendings are good ideas but not at this time and especially in their situation. But then, Ghana has stuff like Gold and Cocoa in abundance, they can get themselves out of the mess and afford the socialist spending if they manage their resources well, but that has been the bane of many African countries, hasn't it?

The PR thing is becoming ridiculous.
These 3 headlines tells you what is wrong with that country.
Their PR game has gone on steroids.

Ghanaians are not ready to take the bull by the horns just yet and I like i said earlier, they love to walk before crawling. They live in the delusion of been more special and better than every African country
so they rather study the economy policies of big countries like Switzerland, Norway, Singapore,Hongkong than to study economy policies of countries closer to them and also forgetting it's a different world with different challenges thus leaving out the core fundamentals of how those countries got there. You need to be here and listen to the local media to see the standards they have set for themselves. It is always about how Sweden,Denmark has done it not about how their very next door neighbours Cote d'ivoire has been able to keep inflation to the bearest minimum, not about how Nigeria has been able to keep her economic aloft despite her challenges,it is about how the UK has done it. In economy you study parallel models not unparallel stuffs like they do.

The emboldened

That's typical of nigerians not Ghanaians.
Till you offend a Ghanaian you will never hear him or her talk bad about you.

Anyone that reads social media comments knows nigerians see themselves that way not Ghanaians

That free senior secondary education thing is a disaster, trust me.
The schools have been running out of food, learning put on hold cos the students say they can learn with empty stomach.
In most cases, students are asked by the school authorities to go home cos they're ran out of food
The quality too is very questionable cos how do you produce smart kids that go to school 6months in an academic year and stay for another 6 months.
I know kids who should be in SS1, who are home as we speak and will wait for 3months before it gets to their batch.
Boarding components make school expensive.. Countries should try to shift education to day school..no need for boarding or food except lunch..by investing in good walking distance school..this is going to Kenya focus if Ruto wins.Already in Kenya kids who go day school get almost 100 percent capitation...those that go boarding only tuition is paid.Discourage boarding school by coming up standard school infrastructure that every school should have..one off investment..then it's become cheaper as it just paying teachers and maybe lunch. Now try to feed and house millions of kids in boarding school and you go bankrupt easily..in Kenya those in high school approaching four million... Boarding is stupid British system countries need to dump.. British adopted as most parents were busy colonizing the world otherwise elsewhere kids stays at home...even university level you should have majority living at home ..by ensuring they are colleges and universities spread all over offering same basic standard of education...90% day education..only 10 percent boarding

Succinctly put

GeneralDae:

Nothing that serious in my opinion though, at least nothing too strange so to say.
Ghana has been to the IMF 16 times since 1957 and the new NPP Government tried to break away from this tradition by developing home grown policies especially the E levies. This simply have not worked as intended and they were beginning to have investors lose faith in their economy, it was becoming difficult to find lenders as well. COVID-19 and to a smaller extent Russian-Ukraine war have also hit the economy hard, coupled with the fact that Ghana have always had problems with Inflation.

The Nana Addo Akufo Government have constantly criticised the previous Government for depending on bodies like the IMF when things go sour and they vowed to break that tradition, they vowed never to go to the IMF saying Ghana would implement Home grown solutions to the economic challenges they face.
In their words, any Government that goes the IMF way is a failure and the NPP Government (present Government) would never do that for as long as they remain in power. But now they seem to have eaten their words and are going back to the IMF for survival.

it's just one those populist, not well thought out political decisions I'm talking about.
Introduction of free senior secondary education was entirely a political one and it is part of the reason the country is where it is today.
And how wasteful the govt is.
Imagine a govt of 30million population with 110 ministers and almost a thousand presidential staffers.
He went ahead and created 6 more regions with each region producing a region minister plus other representations that'll require wages and what not.
On the economic side of things, things never moved further from where the other administration stopped

Why posting here bro ?
Post in the technical thread or the other military thread , best to discuss there

Nemesis2u account is deleted , so no point tagging it grin

Hurjet is yet to fly so cannot challenge anything as of now

Unfortunately sources for the engines are pretty limited ,so either this side or that side grin

Yes because I feel he was not treated well.
So far his worst records are far better than what we see from this clueless myopic President.

Henceforth it will be very difficult for me to vote for the NPP party. I have come to the realization that the NPP party is full of hypocrites and clueless selfish individuals who knows nothing about Governance.

Dr Kwame Nkrumah once described them as "people who see themselves as superior and better than everyone but in reality they are empty and clueless"
