The clown was looking for low hanging fruits to campaign on after stealing or wasting $500 billions with nothing to show for it.
He put a few trains on ancient track paid for and rehabilitated by Abacha,Abdusalam, Obasanjo,yar adua.
He then went around town shouting transformation even though it had nothing to do with him apart from the 6 locomotives he bought.
Nigeria has been buying locomotives since I was born. The only constant is the snail trains and epileptic services and the problem persist
. The damn train breakdown, constantly derail until the next batch of locomotive is bought.
Not until obasanjo rail Road map did something Nigeria start to get serious. He set the ball rolling with Kaduna Abuja standard rail project. The road map was essentially derailed by the looting of the treasury by Jonathan and his 49 thieves.
Buhari has brought the rail Road map back on track.

IGNORANCE is thinking there was no railway in Nigeria before Jonathan came. Jonathan's impact on the railway system in Nigeria is less than 5%. A lot of the noise was just LIES.
There was a railway network of thousands of miles BEFORE Nigeria was even founded . The youth of this country have been lied to too many times and they just stupidly absorb it .
These cattle from Zamfara is neither Buhari or Jonathan's doing. The man to thank is a half educated but tough leader guy called Lord Lguard

Wtf has he done to the railway service except buying about nine extra wagons for them? What is so special about buying something that costs roughly about$30,000 each?

If you guys have never seen a train in your life or have one pass through your backyard. ...then sorry about that

But the railways have been working as far back as i know them and i know they were a constant nuisance all through my high school when they passed through every Wednesday even to the point we were made to pay N10 fine per student as far back as 2003 when a recalcitrant student stoned the cargo for Peugeot Nigeria carrying some exotic cars from Lagos to Kaduna.

So you guys can STFU. The rails are still damn slow and takes an eternity to get to your destination. There are constant breakdowns. No new improvement from what it was 60 years ago. No online booking. No onboard entertainment. For Goodness sake they still use the N1 ticket they have as far back as the 1990s as proof of payment.Just the same old slow jalopy.

If this is what you want to celebrate as an achievement then goodluck to you.

After looting our wealths in this country right from Gen. Sani Abacha, Gen Abdulsalam, Gen. Olusegun, Alhaji Musa Yar'adua, Mr GEJ.... Really all thanks go to GEJ for using 85% of his time to constructs some of the rails tracks and rehabilitates some of the ports in the country. You can kill the messenger, but u can't kill the message. For Gen Muhammodu Buhari you have tried for commissioning the railways projects left behind by our pass leaders.
May God help us in this country nigeria.

Laudable development certainly! But remember, Awolowo had done it before! Cattle slaughtered and dressed the evening before in Bauchi arrived Ido Railway Station, Lagos in refridgerated coaches by 6am...just in time for dealers and wheelers from all parts of Lagos and environs to have them on butchers' tables from Ido to Agege and every market in between.
The coaches return along with those carrying building materials, textiles etc to Bauchi to enable market men and women have commodities ready ffor market activities early the next day. It was a special express train service.
I wish this govt will look up the national development master plans prepared by our immediate post-independence national leaders

Both tracks and locomotives were put in place by GEJ.

I remember how on this forum before the election, how the supporters of APC were lieing to the whole world that GEJ brought and installed locomotives.
But look at them today gradually and tactically trying to erase GEJ name from anything concerning rail transport. Some are even going as far as linking Abacha, Abdusalam with the resuscitation of the railways when it is a public knowledge that the military killed the rail transport .
Some people are really masters of treachery.

FG has not build any good transport system for we Nigerian, our road are still bad, Airlines are leaving the country but Buhari consign is to convert was meant for human and resources to fulani cow movement tools .. Very soon he will open an airport to transport cows..

Good first step. If there is no improvement over time then you can complain. But these are the things we've longed for and must be celebrated. Our roads must be free of long distance heavy duty trucking as soon as possible.
