It was a tragic day for the residence of koseunti street in edu, Ado odo local gvt , ogun State, when some suspected cultists invaded the home of one Mr Henry ovie and sniffed the life out of his aged grandmother who was screaming for help during the invasion.

Eyewitness account have it that on the 5th of April 2016, boys armed with short guns, cutlasses and other dangerous weapons invaded the home of Mr ovie at about 4:00am ransacking and searching for him. they claimed Mr Henry ovie was a member of a rival cult that had earlier attacked and killed one of their members. The aged grand mother who was a BP patient and also struggling with diabetes on sighting the hoodlums, began to scream and in a bid to silence her one of the boys grabbed her already fragile throat and strangled her to death. While this act was ongoing, a cousin of ovie named endurance who by chance had run out of the house through the kitchen door went to alert the neighbours and by the time they summoned courage to come around the deed had been done.

As at the time of filing this report, it was still unknown to other residents what must have led to the attack on an innocent aged woman but news flying around indicated that the cultists came on a revenge mission because Henry ovie was suspected to be shielding a cultist named Ejiro who was an apprentice working with him (Henry) at his lekki/Ajah site where they were engaged in construction work (POP DESIGN). The hoodlums got information that Henry was around on that fateful day and a desperate bid to seek revenge came in the wee hours of the morning but fortunately for Henry, he had been hurriedly summoned to his site the previous evening by the contractor in charge of the job he was handling in Ajah. that was how Henry escaped being murdered by the agents of death.

The body of the aged woman was taken out by the family members and deposited in the mortuary at the Badagry General Hospital and reported to the Baale's palace and the Agbara police station. Meanwhile, investigation is ongoing.
