My may be going to a wedding, it'll be my first trip to naija and I'm verrrrrrrrrrrry excited.  I feel like I should wear a nigerian dress out of respect, and also because I think they are so beautiful and colourful ,  and I just wanted some advice on whether it would be acceptable / seen as a good thing?

if it would make you feel good, and you realy want to blend, then get a good tailor there that specializes in african clothes making, and have her show u current african or nigerian magazines, or if you have a design in mind, then go ahead and make it. african prints are so wonderfully beautiful, and not like any other. ask for vlisco designs or material, they stand out. have fun wink

Wear what you'd normally wear to a wedding. Traditional attire isn't a must, you just have to look smart.
