How else can history be preserved? Oral traditions are distorted in transmission and disappear with time, but written records live forever.

In them, generations learn and relearn their past, the opportunity to analyse facts and make inferences made available to them. Fictional and non-fictional books have explored the subject of the Biafran War (1967-1970) from various angles.
