In accordance with its culture of promoting financial literacy amongst next-generation leaders, the Nigerian Stock Exchange(NSE) is proud to announce:

The NSE Essay Competiton for Senior Secondary Schools, 2016. Ever since its maiden edition in 2000, the NSE has continually proven its mantra of promoting a fundamental understanding of finance amongst the young.
And in keeping with its corporate social responsibility,The competition has empowered over 20,000+ students in over 2500 schools across the nation
.


So, What is the Topic?

The topic this year is: What is the Biggest Obstacle to Saving and Investing Money and How can the Nigerian Stock Exchange Help?

Students are expected to write on what they believe is the greatest obstacle to saving and investing money with a focus on Nigeria and how they think the NSE can help in overcoming this obstacle.


Guidelines

Now, this contest is open to only Senior Secondary School Students (SSS1-SSS3) in Nigeria only.
Your Essay should not be more than 1000 words and typewritten
.

Submitted Essays should show creativity and originality. However, students can accept inputs and ideas from others.

How will points be awarded?

Generally, points will be awarded based on:

Originality of Essay
Neatness of Presentation
Relevance of Essay to the Topic
Competence in the usage of English language as measured by correct punctuations and basic grammar.
