As a country, what will happen to our 40billion dollars in foreign revenue in the event of a collapse in US economy. It  happened in the 80's and we suffered for it?

Do we need that much savings even though we have a very liquid cash (black gold)?
Who gains from our savings? We or the country were they are saved?

a rich man is not rich if he has no assets even though he has 3 million in his bank account.

We need to start building assets today

We need world class

Universities
Good electricity network
Road Network
Research Institutes funded by the government
Mechanized farming

. . . these are assets not some dummy figures to keep the developed world further away from the brink of collapse.

Pls tell them, maybe they will listen to u. I mean the govt and the pple in charge of our foreign reserves

Here in Africa, we have raw materials and buy finished products.
Cant we start building industries to produce the finished products?

The whole world wants crude oil and we cant turn that into an advantage? we cant even dictate trade?
