NITDA NEW DG, DR. PANTAMI RESUMES DUTY
Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami resumes for duty today as substantive Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency, (NITDA) following the announcement by the federal government on Monday appointing 13 new head of parastatals.
In a brief reception held in his honour, Dr. Pantami said he is glad to have been received in such a wonderful manner by the outgoing acting DG, Vincent Olatunji, PhD and other members of staff.
The new DG who brisk in around 1:30PM said he came around to get a copy of the hand over note and to say hello to the people of his new environment.
Pantami promised to consolidate on the achievements the agency has recorded in past years adding that what is important to him is to see how Nigeria can explore the potentials of ICT for development.
He said, “What is important to us is Nigeria and I am here to work together with you as a team to achieve the vision of the Agency.”
Earlier in his welcome address, the outgoing Ag. DG assured him of the cooperation of all staff adding that NITDA is one big family.
Olatunji informed him that the Agency might be small in structure but very big in activities as he has come to improve upon its activities. He added that his coming cannot be at a better time than now when the nation needs to leverage on ICT as alternative to oil to come out of recession.

Is it the baban riga that would work or his hands

Moreover, he said he is there to collect hand over note and arrived by 1.30

Is that the time for resumption in gov't agency?

He should have arrived barefooted on a donkey, dressed in animal skin.

I have always said that the day Nigerian govt stop wearing babariga is the day Nigeria will start progressing and is the day corruption will reduce ..That attire represents greed and crass wastage , imagine one man using 20 yards of fabric to make a dress when 4 or five yards would have been enough.

f you can't see that the garb represents wastage and greed then I am sorry for you ..its not everything thing that is positive culture, for God's sake the man voted have resumed work in some really simple and clean kaftan and not 20 yards of fabric he doesn't need ..

Do you know that that cloth we call Babariga is a symbol of greed ? In a society where many people do not have clothes to wear one person being paid with tax payers funds will show up to work in this humid country with over twenty yard of fabric he doesn't need for any reason .

You are real problem. What ever he wears is still none of your business even if he becomes president of Nigeria. Except the price is too high then we could ask where he got the money from. Other than that, you don't need to complain about how he spends his salary.

.. Did you get the memo where I said that ugly garb represents nothing but a culture of waste in a land where many lack ..the garb doesn't make sense ,it's not comfortable , it is worn to decieve people that one is bigger than what he is ,it's worn to boast that one has so much he can afford to waste 20 yards on a meaningless cloth. .I don't expect you to ever understand because I know you can't. .good day

You and the guy you quoted made a lot of sense(to the discerning). Those that criticize you two are the same that argued that one does not need a certificate to be a good President. Or that a President saying "I don't give damn" on a TV prograam is nothing.

How can a serious minded ICT person go to work in such overflowing Babariga? Tech guys are known to be the most casually dressed in the world. Being in casuals, have indirectly become their dress code.

Imagine an Attorney General and Minister of Justice going to work in a Babariga instead of suit. How serious is he?

I have paid more tax than you can imagine ..I am not a free loader ..and who told you that I made the statement because he is not from my region. .don't tell me you are so short sighted ..anyone that know me personally will tell you for ages I have complained about that ugly garb and pot bellies and I never trust anyone who possess either ..it's just plain logic

Yeah, I.mentioned salary cos you made it seem like its all about him being the DG and being paid with tax payers money. You said it becomes our business the moment he became a public official ( DG of NITDA). Or you forgot you said so? Sha has happened to your memory? Now you are shifting goal post.
Still, your post doesn't make sense. The garb is his culture and he can wear it whenever he wishes even if he uses 50 yards.
Your argument is not even coherent and consistent and yet you want to prove you are an elite.
My point stands, its his money, let him spend it as he wishes.

You no dey even shame! carrying someone's dressing for head like gala!
We all know why you so pained to see him dressed like that! I know you feel like committing suicide right now! Same with the sight of a Muslimah in Hijab, it just drives you guys crazy because you just hate northerners and Muslims for no just reason. You go as far as telling your kids to wear church cloth and go to school which made them look ridiculous due to your bigotry and mischief.
For Allah's sake the Babbar Riga is a common attire and even among the poorest class people still wear it. You can have a full set for as low as N3k depending on the cost of the material. That one he's wearing will not cost more than 50k! So where is the extravagance and show off? Mind you a 50k suit is not even considered medium price, it's on the low side. You have pastors and politicians wearing suits worth millions of Naira but you are fuming about common Babbar Riga just because of your hatred for a people.
That attire is the most comfortable and dressing code for him, so why do you have to complain for him? He's an associate Prof in a Saudi University a PhD computer science lecturer at ATBU prior to that, so he can afford 247 ac at home, office and car. So only you know about humidity.
If you believe everyone shall discard their culture and embrace the whiteman's just because they saved you from killing your twins, cannibalism and human sacrifice. They cloth you and gave you religion and now you think you are the most enlightened and have the right to tell people how to dress. GTFOH men!
