Move to the side of the road: When your vehicle has steering problem, you should not be in the middle of the road. It is entirely clear that you could be on the fast lane when it happened, thus when you discover it, continue turning it to the side that is safer, and that should be to your right. You could be lucky, and it could respond slightly. So, find a way to move to one side of the road.
Don’t put off the engine: Some people are fond of putting off the engine when the car is moving, especially when descending a hill. And this is usually done to save fuel. If it is low, then refill it and give it some time before starting it again. In case it still does not respond, or in case the power steering oil gauges, consult a mechanic. Carry out routine checks: Findings have shown that people tend to forget to check this oil because it is not used up quickly like others. But, to avoid unfortunate situations and putting your life at risk, check the power steering oil every day before leaving the house. Also, endeavour to use recommended products so that a wrong product does not damage your vehicle.
Meanwhile, it should be noted that steering failure can manifest either as a total failure of the steering system or if the power steering fails. Whichever happens to your vehicle, don’t panic, put on your hazard light, reduce your speed and find your way to the right side of the road where the risk of colliding with other vehicles is minimal.

It has happened to me twice, my steering kept turning 360 degrees without controlling my tires on high speed; but I must let you know that the vehicle didn't stop based on my efforts and understanding. Its only God that is capable of controlling a vehicle in such circumstances.

The best bet is to REDUCE YOUR SPEED, PUT ON YOUR DOUBLE POINTER, continue to horn until d vehicle manages to get off d road, NEVER ATTEMPT TO PUT OFF UR ENGINES, as this will stiffen ur steering, check d vehicle, especially ensure your power steering oil is adequate.
ALWAYS ensure to check ur vehicle every morning before u hit d road. Enjoy ur Drive.

This happened to me on Saturday. What I don't understand here is that you're telling to my right or safer side of the road but the steering is locked, in this case it's the car that is controlling me taking me to where it feels like.
In a case like this what a man can do?

Just look at the direction of your village and say to them, finally, una plan work.

Op, when your steering fails, you have no control over the vehicle again as regards to its direction. All you need to is to gently apply the brakes, keep horning and keep calling on God. It has happened to me before but thank God mine was in a traffic.
