Doesn't really matter here, it's just a friendly game which will help both teams... Let's hope Coach Randy Waldrum present a good Squad for us and doesn't do much of player's tryouts..He can possibly do that at the 6 Nations Tournament we're hosting in September where I would love to see most of the Home based player's he Scouted out at the recent super 6 tournament in Ijebu Ode!

I disagree. This game is as big as a final for us. How many times do you get to say u are playing the greatest team of all time. The girls better be fired up for this because it is very big

Nigerian defender Zogg at the double as Zurich edge Lugano

The 24-year-old netted twice for Las Blancas in their clinical victory against their visitors at Sportanlage Heerenschurli

Onyinyechi Zogg scored a brace as Zurich secured a 2-1 victory over Lugano in Sunday's Swiss Women's Super League encounter.

Following a 2-0 Swiss Cup semi-final win at Grasshopper last week, Zurich were keen to maintain their quest for the title, despite being seven points behind leaders Servette Chenois.

Having scored her first goal in a 2-1 win over Servette Chenois, the Nigerian-Swiss born defender was given her 16th start of the season and she turned out as the heroine of the day.
The hosts got off to flying start as Mimoza Hamidi's fine assist helped Zogg open the scoring inside the first minute.

In the 34th minute, Zurich doubled their lead when Mona Gubler surprisingly set up Zogg for her second of the encounter at Sportanlage Heerenschurli.

However, Mathilda Andreoli struck from 16 metres to pull one back for the visitors but her strike, four minutes from half-time, was not enough to rescue them from defeat at the hand of Zurich.

Zogg was in action for the duration of the contest and has now scored three goals in 20 appearances for her Swiss outfit.

The victory kept Zurich in the second position on the Swiss table with 51 points after 24 games - seven points adrift of leaders Servette.

Following her first ever brace for Zurich, Zogg will be eager for another productive spell upfront when they welcome Young Boys at home in their next league fixture on April 24.

Meanwhile Uchenna Kanu scored again over the weekend.
That's two goals in three games for her for Linköpings FC in the Swedish Damallsvenskan. Two consecutive goals too.

Her goal gave her side a 1-0 win over BK Hacken FF away from home.

The CAF draw means that the Super Falcons can’t participate at the US event in June, unless the NFF asks the tournament organizers to postpone the tourney

The perennial African football problem. My dad talked about this problem in the 1980s. Chief Abiola talked about it in that 1992 interview with Segun Odegbami. How are we going to solve this problem?

You see, some people advocate that countries should only play qualifiers within their region, in order to reduce the expense that they incur. For example, Nigeria should only play qualifiers against teams in West Africa, Cameroon should only play qualifiers against teams in Central Africa, etc. This will ensure that teams do not have to travel long distances and it would help to conserve funds (African teams are not the richest of teams).

However, this raises a big problem. There are some regions that are packed full of African football powerhouses and scheduling qualifiers in this way will mean that those powerhouses are eliminated early. Furthermore, there are some regions that are packed full of minnows and this kind of scheduling will ensure that the minnows go through and it would reduce the quality of the competition and ensure that Africa presents weak representatives at major international tournaments.

This is the draw for the African Women Cup of Nations that were concluded this afternoon. Look at the teams in WAFU B and see how strong they are (Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast) and then look at the teams in WAFU A or UNAF and look at how weak they are.
