Which one gives you the desired infotainment? The one that all your friends are alias and map crazed or the one with lovely studio pix?

Facebook is a facebook, while nairaland is a facelessbook.
On facebook, its love and peace. On Nairaland its a war of words.
Nairaland tries, but can really be annoying.
But obviously, I check my facebook more often than nairaland.

Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by Nobody: 12:24am On Oct 20, 2009

i dont think so.
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by puskin: 12:31am On Oct 20, 2009
Itz not about competition, itz about which do U prefer.
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by DisGuy: 12:44am On Oct 20, 2009
have you ever seen anyone with a bad comment on facebook? I think there's even a facebook etiquette- no bad comment no arguing lol the feel good factor people hide under where your comments are like but never disliked undecided and everything is a one liner on there-nobody criticise you some plastic world if you ask me not bad though - the feel good formula certainly work!
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by pcicero(m): 12:47am On Oct 20, 2009
Ok, thanks puskin. Well, both are blog sites and they are for different reasons. I enjoy my freedom and privacy on Nairaland better. I can discuss issues without border because image is nothing on Nairaland while on Facebook it's all about pretending to be a cloned version of Brad Pitt or David Beckham.

Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by Nobody: 1:07am On Oct 20, 2009
well, we cant all drop the veneer of civility all the time like we do here on NL.

some sites have to remain sane unless they decide not to.

I disagree but for compartmentalized reasons.
Facebook is a social network
Nairaland is a forum

the comparisons are baseless. it is like comparing apples to pineapples or dog-meat to crab-meat grin

Love Nairaland over FB

But Fb is good for keeping in touch with friends, though I barely go there in a month.

Too many invites to ignore. . tongue tongue tongue

I really love the faceless community nature of Nairaland. Once your identity is NOT compromised then u are free to attack ur oppressors and attackers at least with 'the weapon of worded language' which most times is harmlessly KILLABLE!!
