Unlike Nigeria where power distribution system is still evolving from analogue to digital, countries like united states have digitalized their electricity distribution systems such that one can even control certain hardware remotely via computers and mobile apps over the internet. Their customers' database are stored online for ease off access. Faulty distribution lines can easily be troubleshooted with just the click of buttons.
But these have poised a security challenge as these important and fragile system can be devoured by hackers who can compromise confidential data and manipulate their electricity distribution systems.
