if u have a pc plug in your ipod and windows should recognise it. open windows media player and select any song u want and right click and choose add to sync list then click on sync tab and press start sync.

Or you can alternatively do it this way just lug in your
device and windoze should
recognise is as removable disk open it by double clicking it and drag any mp3 song of your choice into the
removable disk & if you use linux and have amorak cos it can copy in & off ipod. Cheerio

Or Better still use iTunes media player. It's got i-pod functionality. smiley
Once ur itunes is up and running and ur i-pod plugged in u are good to go. JUST DRAG & DROP cool wink
Re: Ipod Nano-i Need A Guide by adewaleafolabi(m): 8:44am On Dec 30, 2006
remember its a 2gb ipod with limited space so dragging might not be a good option cause u need to compress @esquire yamipod is also a good option

once you plug in your ipod go to my computer you should see removable drive just drag and drop any file inside the removable drive which is your ipod. your ipod should come with a cd in the cd there should be a copy of itunes there and it works offline

guseman,

You said something that solves your problem 50%. You asked if you need to take your computer to cafe and put it online - the answer to that question is yes. You see, iPODs work very well with i-Tunes and they are tightly integrated.

What you need to do is restore your iPOD to default settings and you need to be online to do this. Your iPOD should have a manual to help you with this, if not go to http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/family/ and select the type of problem that you are having.

You can import any songs from CDs to your iTunes library and copy them to your iPOD or you can get any MP3 songs into your i-tunes and copy them to your iPOD as well. I hope this helps you.

ipod isn't what i can buy with my money. i just had another terrible experience with it. a friend came over with his 30 gb video ipod and asked me to sync music and some videos to it. it opened fine everything went well only for me to want to play the song there was none. plugged it back to my pc immediately window media started playing songs from the ipod. copied a picture file to it still the ipod claims nothing is on it.went to linux checked the ipod the files were there. i think i'd rather stick to a normal mp4 player than buy an ipod
