My brother bought a Honda accord 08 new in 2009 and u will hardly know it has been in naija for that long...it hasn't even been taken to the Almighty Honda place for once....and it was his daily driver till last year...car is still in use as we speak

Personally I prefer accord ,better performance and powerful with the honda VTEC technology and better looking interior.
The only drawback is that accord has more vibration .

Accord from 2008 until now doesn't have leg issue. The mistake was corrected from 2008 model. I'm using 2011 V6 evil spirit full options, no regret using. Good interior, nice shape.

Poor quality leather which begins to form bubbles and cracks and make the whole interior unsightly.

As for the VTEC, Toyota's reply is VVT-i

Buy that Camry and watch how your dashboard will crack like a woman's leg during harmattan and how you will always be changing your shock absorber.

You can't even compare the power delivered by the Accord to Toyota.

It all depends on the way the owner maintains his/her vehicle.
Alonu, in my opinion, in terms of Durability, Toyota is better.
I'd pick the Muscle over the Evil Spirit.

buy the accord. trust me, I have driven both. the accord has better handling and maneuverability at high speeds and appears to be firmer and heavier on the road. the camry's suspension is also not as stiff as that of the accord. in the long-term too, accord has a more satisfying interior. the camry however, has a beautiful exterior and is more quiet.

All reviews both in the US and Nigeria picks the accord. The only thing you can enjoy the camry for is the Toyota resale value and cheaper replacement parts. Durability is the same, that camry's dashboard will start melting and cracking giving you a shiny reflection on the windscreen when driving on a hot sunny afternoon. Ogbeni OP pick the accord and be happy.
Tho i feel the accord has a lower ground clearance compared to the camrys' with the way i see it from afar, I'm not sure if I'm right.

Was recently in the same situation with you OP, well at the end of the day I got a 2010 Accord, and ill point out why.
I checked different trims of both cars and arrived at this
RESALE VALUE: Draw
EXTERIOR: Accord
INTERIOR: Accord (more spacious and sophisticated)
PERFORMANCE: Accord (more balanced on speed and more power and sporty feel) NB ive driven the camry more in the past.
I think these are the three major reason one should look out for when deciding between these two cars, its been 3 months with the accord and im glad i made the tight but right decision

Oh,my brother's accord hasn't had any issue of leg,or even knee at dat....and it has been the daily driver in his household since 2009.

I got mine for 1.750 the range is between 1.5 to 1.8 depending the trim, mileage and how neat it is. Fuel consumption is okay, should be on per with the Camry I guess. But so far I can't complain about the fuel consumption, its satisfactory.
