Jesus Christ’s ‘burial Slab’ Uncovered During Restoration by Shaev7(m): 10:19pm On Oct 27, 2016
A burial slab believed to have held the body of Jesus Christ before he was resurrected has been uncovered for the first time in centuries by a restoration team in Jerusalem. The original limestone shelf, known as a “burial bed,” was exposed during the restoration of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre after being covered by marble since at least 1555 A.D. “It will be a long scientific analysis, but we will finally be able to see the original rock surface on which, according to tradition, the body of Christ was laid,” Fredrik Hiebert, an archaeologist involved in the discovery, told National Geographic. According to scripture, Jesus Christ was laid on the shelf in the tomb after dying at the crucifixion around 33 A.D. After three days his remains were discovered to be missing and Jesus was said to have appeared over a span of 40 days before ascending into heaven. The discovery was made by a team of scientists from the National Technical University of Athens (NTU) who were making restorations to the Edicule (“little house” ), a structure which had been built around the tomb. Researchers now hope to study the original surface to better understand the original tomb and how it evolved to become one of the most sacred sites in Christendom. "We are at the critical moment for rehabilitating the Edicule," Chief Scientific Supervisor Professor Antonia Moropoulou told National Geographic. "The techniques we're using to document this unique monument will enable the world to study our findings as if they themselves were in the tomb of Christ." The newly-uncovered surface was described as having a grey-beige stone surface. The church is located where Jesus died and was buried (his tomb was around the corner, but this is what it would have looked like back then) Also known as the Church of the Resurrection, its custody is shared between six Christian sects including the Greek Orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Church and the Armenian Orthodox Church, whom together invited the NTU to undertake the restoration. At a cost of US$4 million, (€3.7 million) the restoration was not cheap, with major donors including Jordan's King Abdullah II and Mica Ertegun, widow of Atlantic Records co- founder Ahmet Ertegun.

Jesus was probably real but he was in no way supernatural. He was probably just a guy that preached using the old testament. The bible turned him into some God like being infusing stories from other religions into Christianity, aspects like the three wise men, born on 25th and the resurrection, were all borrowed from other religions. What most Christians don't know is that the new testament was written atleast 50 years after Jesus died, and even then the new testament you have now was selected from hundreds of other accounts by people who didn't know jesus.

You can read the Wikipedia page about Jesus then

You can read the Wikipedia page about Jesus then

Did Jesus exist? YES HE DID

How come He was singled out and so much Miracles are attached to him and not another name..? ASK YOURSELF THAT

The above must have meant he was someone known in that day and age so there should be another book somewhere which says he was just ordinary and which refutes everything we know him to be in the Bible...Is there any whic you can show me? ABSOLUTELY NONE

Until you can back up all your statements on probability with actual true historical counters I would suggest you shut up and face a wall rather than speaking words built on confusion.

Why not Wikipedia, its a bounty of information. They have two different pages on Jesus, one for the historical account. The other for the biblical account. Or would you rather use a Christian website, because are so unbiased

How do you know no one wrote an account of Jesus as a mortal man? There were thousands of text about Jesus after his death, the church selected the ones you have in the new testament, refusing to acknowledge the rest.

And where are those accounts? Produce just one or just one line from those accounts that say he was an ordinary mortal. Until you do then shut up and face the wall.

All the scrolls the church had all had the miraculous in them but they chose those ones which spoke the same thing but its on record that all of them including the one they left out all identified Jesus with the miraculous. I think you need to research how the bible was compiled and their method of elimination and stop being ignorant.
