Give it a try bro! One thing I know is that only few Nigerian news websites publish unique contents. Some just go about copying from other sites and then doing minor modifications gramatically.

Majority of news updates in naij.com usually makes reference to punchng.com, vanguard, dailytrust, and even nairaland -- yet we see google ads on naij.com. Or don't you?

Go ahead and apply bro! There's just no harm in trying. But then, avoid copying news word-to-word. Always give news summaries; we Nigerians like getting details about something yet in a synoptic form. In general, use your own words, except when you're quoting those good ol' politicians.
